[As promised, here is the rp write up of mine and Uos' goodbye from Planeshift. :) Enjoy.]
The beginning was rough, dangerous, bloody.
A young female Klyros named Eckar was to be wed.
She would run often with another young male Klyros, Uosdwis. Her reasoning, not quite what you would expect. They were in secret, working for an evil organization, the Onyx Dagger criminal syndicate.
During their employment they were asked to do many unsavory things, til one day..the orders got too rough for their liking. They were ordered a hit on Eckar's soon to be, Velatrius.
With this news they gathered him up and ran away to form a new guild. Sadly, things fell apart from there with Eckar and Velatrius. He constantly stayed away and she couldn't watch him any longer..he left her.
With her independence came rage. However, she did have a newfound love, Abunerie. She swore not to let harm reach him..she just couldn't deal with it anymore.
Eckar And Uosdwis furthered their attempts at bringing justice down on the Onyx Dagger. She blamed them for her darkened eyes, her inability to cope and function normally.. and Uosdwis just flat out hated them.
One day they were out for a hunt, nothing new, when they heard tons of odd noises in the distance, just down the hill upon the roads to Ojaveda. They quickly drew their axes, creeping closer to the drop off to see what was below.
Their eyes narrowed in what seemed like anger, possibly awe, as they saw before them at least thirty Onyx Dagger. Before they knew it they were spotted, the Onyx Dagger charged the hill, recognizing their foe.
Flawlessly Eckar and Uosdwis took out the first 10, their blades thrashing gracefully and catching glimpses of light in their quickness.
The last 20, however, were not so easily finished. They rushed and surrounded them, their daggers and galkards drawn, throwing them carelessly at whatever vital organ they could reach.
Eckar and Uosdwis fought as hard and long as they could. Although the ground was so littered with wounded and dead that the advancing enemies had to leap over a ring of their fallen comrades to reach the axe wielding Klyros, it just wasn't enough.
As they stood back to back, circled by the tightening ring of assassins, a female Dermorain stepped over the ridge. She carried a weighted net, and walked with confidence beside a cloaked giant. With a swift movement, two axes flew toward the back ranks. Uosdwis' flew wide of the mark and stuck in a tree, the axe Eckar had thrown stuck with a sickening thud in Ukabnu's thigh. Ukabnu let out a howl of rage and tossed the weighted net she held to the humongous masked man beside her, before collapsing to the ground in pain.
As the masked man circled the group Eckar and Uosdwis returned their full attention to the ring of Daggers around them. Dripping blood from countless wounds and fighting through searing agony, they sized up their odds.
The plan had been made long ago, they had prayed it would never be needed. There were things the Onyx Dagger must never know. There were ways to find information from a living person. There were even ways to find information from a dead person... There was one way only to keep a secret forever, and the plan had been laid for that way the day they turned against the Onyx Dagger.
Axe blades still flashing, refusing to let any more of their enemies survive, they muttered as one "time". With their free hands, each reached into a pouch at their belts, feeling for the secret padded pocket. Noticing their movement the giant hurled his net, not wanting to give them time for any tricks. Eckar and Uosdwis were borne to the ground under the combined weight of the 8 remaining Onyx Dagger leaping upon them as the net fell. Finding the tiny vial they each sought their hands squeezed tightly, crushing the glass vials and driving shards now laced with true death poison deep into the flesh of their palms.
Eckar shuddered and her eyes opened wide. As the fading light of the world left Uosdwis' vision he could hear a soft song of Xiosia and seemed to see her, tears shining in her eyes, moving through the haze.
"My children..." he heard the wind sigh, and felt a soft touch upon his brow. For a moment he saw, clearly, the scene of battle, as from above, then looking into Eckar's eyes he saw the darkness in them recede.
"Sister..." he muttered thickly.
"Brother..." she sighed, her lip curling into a smile full of peace.
Uosdwis smiled and attempted to reach for her face, then they both gave one last shudder and lay still, perished under the feet of their enemy.
A passing pterosaur gave a mournful cry as the Onyx Daggers slowly removed the net, some still expecting a trick. Ukabnu staggered over, cursing and drinking from a healing potion, her wound rapidly closing. She knelt upon the bloodstained ground and cut Uosdwis' arm off with the blade of Eckar's battle-axe. Holding the severed arm like a snake she gingerly sniffed the hand. "As I thought. They are truly dead. Gather our fallen, we don't need to leave a mess. And gather wood, we will need to burn them."
The next day a note with a drawing of two dead and mutilated Klyros was posted to the wall in Ojaveda by unseen hands. "Your heroes are no more." was all it said. A few passersby found the burned and mutilated bodies and ran to town with the news.
Abunerie who was never far from Ojaveda at this time overheard the horrid tale. Grief overcame him and he charged out to confirm the news he'd heard. He didn't want to believe it, but then he saw her...
As he approached the still smoking corpses, he kept repeating "lots of Klyros, probably not them, they were too good, lots of Klyros..."
The ring he had given her fused to the charred bone on her hand was what finally convinced him it was both real and really her. Her body next to Uosdwis', gone from this world forever.
The time in which he moved them to the burial well passed in a blur, he would not allow anyone near his fallen love and thus performed the entire burial rite himself. As he walked from the dark place where he had sealed his lover and his friend forever, the darkness in his mind parted like a cloud. With a clear light he saw his path before him.
He vowed at that very moment that he would take the place of his love as the leader of Halcyonic Bulwark. He'd keep it alive and move on..now it's all in his hands. What does the future hold for Halcyonic Bulwark? Only time will tell.

This should be in the communitive section, as I see no logs. Nonetheless good work.
-
[Hardly anyone seems to be a fan of logs anymore. 'sides, I deleted PlaneShift and everything that went along with it, so this is all there is. I suppose if someone moves it, it'll just be moved. ;) Thank you. :)]

This was a great read, Eckar. Thank you for posting this! ;D
I would've preferred the logs too, but ever since one person complained everyone seems to start making summaries.
You have a great writing style though, so it doesn't matter much. Take care out there, eh? :)
-
Thank you Mellas. And I can't take all the credit. It was a collaboration from me and Uos. And yeah, we're good, so no worries there. :) You take care as well!
-
Indeed this is very good work, too bad that is another person that i wont be able to roleplay with in the game :(, since i have finally gotten outmy thick skull of powerleveling and the pursuit of power, and stepped into the world of roleplay, which i have fallen in love with
-
Hehe, don't worry, there's tons of other rpers in there that you can snatch up and have a good rp with. ;) And thank you for the comment, much appreciated. :)
-
Permanent death. Not something you see very often :P Well never got to do much with you two, but have fun in the real world :) The Planeshift world will miss you.
Tinwei waves at the two, "Bye bye Miss an' Mista Klyros."
-
Hehe, yeah, just going to the Death Realm isn't good enough. You can return from that. ;) So had to spunk it up a bit. Thank you, I'll try to have some fun. :P When college and what not isn't kicking me into the ground. Haha.
And for old time sake...
Eckar smiles and takes a small, worn snowbud from her sack. She tucks it lightly behind Tinwei's ear and grins, giving her fur one last fluff before walking off.

Ah, hate to tell you Tinwei is a Nolthir. Then again maybe some of those fur genes rubbed on her when she's around her furry fenki friends. XD
-
Hehehe, see how long it's been? That's right. But she does have a furry friend so we'll go with that. :D
Hard for me to remember sometimes. Ah well. :D
>.> Her fur can be her hair. Lol.
-
take care Eckar...was fun when you were around :)
-
Thanks Rizin. :) You too. ;)
