Yes I know it's kinda small, but I guess most people already knows the times we use often more or less.
The problem with these nice old looking fonts is that capitals are very intricate and a few in a row just don't look good.

@ Janice:

9 p.m. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is equal to Western European Time (because Greenwich - near London - is in the UK). UTC is more exact, down to fractions of seconds, and not changed by daylight savings.

Other time zones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_zone) are calculated by adding to or subtracting from UTC (or GMT for convenience) a fixed value of hours (sometimes half hours too) as offset.

Find your time offset in the List of time zones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_time_zones).

Example: 9 p.m. GMT ~ 9 p.m. UTC in winter; North American Central Time = UTC-6 = 3 p.m.

The event will be postponed.
Laanx was now down for many hours and it is a too short timeframe for everyone to get the news that laanx is up again to really show up as planned.

We are still discussion a new date for the event and will inform about it soon.

Exyph did found himself alone at next morning. He mumbles "So... Nothing interesting did happened yesterday?" with a bit sad look of face.
Few minutes later he walks over streets of Hydlaa in direction of plaza and suddenly stops. His eyes gets widen and he says to the air "Auction? How did it happened that I missed auction? I did worked hard to...".
Exyph pulls out small sack with a bunch of coins. Tosses it up to fill how heavy it is and says "What should I do with this now?..."
He hides the sack and walks further with blank eyes.

Okay, let me thank the staff who helped with this event:

• Anaros - Our reliable guard, thanks a lot.
  
• Dannae - Beautiful cards, great work there. Thanks a lot for putting all this work into this.
  
• Domec - Our dwarf behind the bar. Great work, even despite the need of a crate to look over the bar.
  
• Jonoth/Remyl - Thanks for guarding as Jonoth and for the announcements of Remyl.
  
• Lace - Thanks for the songs. Great work again.
  
• Mogweh - Good to have you as guard. Thumbs up for your work there.
  
• Stelanso - Good work behind the bar again. A big thanks for it.
  

And of course a very big thanks to Lhaa and Haraun again. Lhaa really put a lot of work in the event this time and it's sad that it didn't turn out very well. But we learn from our mistakes and adjust our future events accordingly.

I hope I didn't forget anyone...but sorry if I did.

Haraun watches the bar some time, turning often to the guests in the room

Aiwendil takes the mug and the goblet. Then she turns to Lhaa and offers the later to her "Here Darling"
Stelanso hands Mekora 3 beers "That will be 60 tia please."
Yadili giggles: And other krans will have the green stones.
Lhaa takes the goblet from Aiwendil and grants her a warm smile. "Thank you darlin'."
Remyl shouts: If ye don't know anyone, turn ta th'sexy person next ta ye n start blabberin!

Haraun leans to Domec and Stelanso "Can Haraun have a wine as soon as have time?"

Exyph gives a coin and takes ticket"

Lhaa grins to Shew as she takes the flower and curtsies. "A wheel of love number. Winner's invited to a supper here with th'winner of the opposite gender. I'm sure you'd like that."

Shew takes the ticket and pockets it after a short inspection. "Thanks."
Remyl shouts: so perk yer cute lil ears up as me explains what will be happenin this eve
Detiey giggles nervously back.. "it is a bit confusing"

Anaros smirks to Semutara "Oh wouldn't you be the expert in telling that"
Yadili nods to Zakrei: Yes, I still have some left.

Aiwendil smiles warmly to Shew as she takes the flower "Thank yoU"
Detiey says: so many people here Exyph
Yadili says: Show your girl how much you like her, and buy her apples unless she has fur.
Stelanso looks round at the people infront of him "Anyone here still in need of a drink?"
Remyl shouts: First, we be havin table ta table messaging all night! Have that perty piece that ye be too shy ta talk to? Or tryin ta keep ye secret love a secret? Well our staff will be passin messages fer ye all eve long!
Exyph nods to Detiey "Yeah... I almost don't hear myself"
Shew nods to Aiwendil "You're welcome..." he turns back to Lhaa "Do you have a number as well?"
Zakrei says: In that case buy her fish
Zakrei chuckles
Yadili giggles a bit and sips from her mug again
Domec greets. "Hello sir, can i offer you a drink? "
Lhaa shakes her head to Shew. "Managers don't get numbers, we'll have t'staff durin' th'supper so I don't s'pose we can take part in it." She replies, then winks to him.

Lhaa takes a deep breath and lifts her gaze first to the audience, then locks it on Aiwendil as she grows a warm smile, saying the last words slowly as she sets her right hand gently above her left breast. "So, I keep you here... Here, in my heart."
Dannae points to the book pricelist, "Personalized is 4 circles and plain is 3"

Yadili says: Ileresa told me that we practised dancing together.

Lace start slowly play a tune with his flute
Orgonwukh nods affirmingly to Yadili, still looking irritated
Zakrei grins: He's hit buy some blunt object, it's Aiwendil's frying pan
Yadili says: ..so he took a boat and moved along the river and played the flute and all fish followed and when he got onto the land again, they followed and jumped out and then he had thousands of fresh fish!
Exyph looks into his tea and then rises his eyes back Detiey "Is there anything you would like to drink or eat?"
Nedoko says: How many acts are left?
Zakrei looks over to Aiwendil: Hey do you have a frying pan ?
Detiey says: not at this moment exyph

Shew blushes deeply again and turns to Remyl. Then simply walks off.
Aiwendil slowly walks to the stage and climbs it. Stepping to the middle of the stage, she reaches in her pocket and produces a folded letter from it. Not looking up to the audience, the diaboli slowly unfolds the letter and reads it silently once.
Yadili says: Ileresa has very nice fur.

Lhaa smirks softly to Aiwendil and nods, adjusting her position and folding her arms to watch.

Haraun's one ear is rather turned to Yadili and Dhalani as he has to chuckle

Yadili says: And before I saw her, I really thought that mine is white.

Aiwendil eventually looks up the guests and casts a weak smile before raising her voice to address them. "I would like to read a letter for you all now. I received this letter some time ago from the person I love while she was away for a few months to visit her family. It helped me a lot to cope with the loneliness I felt back then".
Shew sighs heavily and drains his cup, then looks angrily at it.

Aiwendil takes a deep breath and gives the letter another short glance. Then she starts reading, just loud enough for everyone to hear but in a clear voice. "The power I sought is now in my hands \ For I traveled through the lands \ Found the master I yearned for \ Thus I journey to the core"
Yadili says: But I don't think I ever lost a spot of my fur.
Shew walks over to Lhaa and leans over to whisper to her.
Stelanso winks at Domec "You think so? Well i have been serving a lot of Liquor to org."
Lhaa puts her forefinger before her lips as she looks at Shew, then nods and listens to him.
Aiwendil's voice grows a bit louder as she continues. "And as I reach my close ones \ I remember the far ones \ What I left and what I will find \ A mystery to be resolved by the divine"
Dhalani cracks a thin smile. "Bet spots on spots and come away spotless?"
Yadili looks at her arms
Lhaa gives Shew a helpless smirk and replies in a whisper as well.
Aiwendil can't resist casting a short smile before reading the next paragraph. "But I felt your warmth meanwhile \ She brought your words of no denial \ Speaking to the Goddess as we dealt \ Your love through Her blessings I felt"

Lhaa turns back to Aiwendil and smiles warmly up to her, then takes a long pull of wine.
Shew sighs then shakes his head and walks towards the door.
Aiwendil waits a short moment and takes another short glance at the letter before continuing to read. "And I dream of the day \ I'll come back to the surface \ Now I dream of your touch \ And the smile that shines that much"
Aiwendil lowers her voice to a muttering as she ends with "I miss you \ I wish you \ I love you". Taking a deep breath again she adds the last line of the letter softly. "Lhaa"
Shew stops as he passes Sanrai and bends down to her "Sorry, but I need to talk to somebody...I hope I'll be back soon..."

Yadili says: Well, if you want to join us, you're welcome.
Aiwendil folds the letter carefully again and slips it back in her pocket. After bowing her head slightly towards the audience she turns to the side and heads off the stage again.
Domec watches on his clock. "It's almost time for me to go, I have to go dig some diamond crystal. You think you can run the bar alone?"
Lhaa takes another long pull of wine, giving a disturbed face for just an instand before she regains her smile.

Lhaa leans gently towards Jonoth and whispers to him.
Haraun shrugs to Kaerli's question and answers with a grin "Some are used to it and that ..me and so-things is complicated"
Wevibo slaps his belly
Dhalani's ears sag, dismayed. "Is habit Dha- I always speaks with. Sometimes bothersome."
Kaerli says: and greetings to you to Haraun.
Aiwendil steps to Haraun and mutters "I will lock the doors now, just wanted to tell you"
Yadili says: It has to be higher than the previous one
Aiwendil nods to Kaerli "Hello"
Yadili says: and not above 16
Stelanso grin at Shew "Enyoing yourself?"
Haraun nods friendly to Kaerli, then turns to Aiwendil "Oh.. it's late already"
Shew walks straight to the counter and places his empty tea cup there. "Now...some strong stuff..."
Zakrei says: that's tough
Wevibo shouts: Where is the love?!?! *HIC* WHERE IS THE LOOOOVE!??!
Netrhys shrugs and mutters "Closing, they are, eh?"
Dhalani shouts: Outside hiding from you!

Wevibo sways and laughs heartily
Sacho nods his head. "Ok, so you win that case."

Dhalani stifles her laughter with a paw.
Haraun looks to Wevibo and sighs quietly, can't resist a grin though
Wevibo says: Too drunk...too drunk
Aiwendil shrugs her shoulders "I just don't want any more people coming in. If they are not up to take part in anything I don't see why we should keep on entertainimg them this evening"
Lhaa smiles to Jonoth and pats the menki's shoulder gently, then walks off. "Thank you."
Wevibo says: Im the only livening thing in this gloomy party
Wevibo says: I mean really
Stelanso says: That we'll be 40 tria please.
Yadili says: Well, after you, there's still Zakrei
>Wevibo Tekenar stands up.
Shew nods to Stelanso and hands him the tria."
Wevibo staggers to his right
Zakrei says: no i already rolled
Zakrei says: i stopped at 13
Yadili says: but again
Wevibo shouts: And I, will always, love you!!!
Lhaa walks back to the counter and leans gently on it, then gives Shew a brief glance.
Wevibo closes his eyes and grins
Yadili says: till everyone is out or on 16
Zakrei says: Oh, I see
Stelanso says: So had a nice evening?
Shew takes the liquor and drains half of it in one gulp before looking up again.

Aiwendil steps back from Haraun and walks towards the door
Netrhys nods and mutters something
Sulaika nods, "I shall not let it get to me."
Ereressel nods
Ereressel says: Lets go watch Nadirad and Merra dance
Orgonwukh smiles impishly at Aiwendil
Orgonwukh says: Ssssister!
Aiwendil locks the door, then turns to Orgonwukh "So a bit too much liquor today?"

• Removed guild chat, tells and group
  
• Removed a lot of sit/stand emotes and some others
  
• Corrected lines of players who added a OOC correction for their typos later on
  
• Removed OOC comments in main, lols, rofls and smilies (a lot this time)
  
• Removed all lines of a person we decide to ignore

Aiwendil, don't be too sorry. It was surely not the fault of the staff that it did not turn out as well as hoped for. We all felt your efforts and we are thankful.

But as expected, the number of males and females was not equal, the number of the races was not equal (and some people are a little reserved regarding relations across race families), and the people have different characters.

My only piece of disappointment is that one of the few ladies only sat in a corner and seemed not even to listen at all...

But I hope that this event showed how many are still interested in finding a partner. Well possible that something develops afterwards, when two meet in a private place.

That's no excuse. There were over 10 female characters there and only ONE took part in one of the activities, most of which we couldn't run simply 'cause nobody cared. Got to wonder what were all the others doing there.

As a constructive criticizm: I did not really recognise many of the activities (maybe I was too busy looking around for ladies who actually responded to a greeting at least)... I wonder if it could have helped to announce a schedule in the beginning, an early introduction to your planned games.


And I am especially curious how it worked out for the beardless bard, Dasij. ;)

So I am sad that the event didn't work out as well. I would've checked to see if my char wanted to participate, but then I logged on pretty much at the end of the event therefore couldn't do much. Then I was afk for about half an hour.

Quite frankly I'm disappointed that barely any of the guests participated in many things. I thought the events were very well planned IF the audience actually joined in. I understand if their character had reasons IC not to play, but I saw many people that to my knowledge would join in something like this.

All in all, there's always another time.e

[Place was too crowded. That was hard to maintain conversation in main channel with appropriate gestures etc. Some of announcements about games I did missed. And Exyph found that there is almost impossible to make relations in such situation. Probably LigH is right and in more private environment there can happen something.]

i thought it went pretty well for an event like this. irl i've been to things a little similar to this and people are just as shy. but if you really want relationships to spark, you need an atmosphere more like... ummm... a strip club.  ;D  :P
