Title: can't register - gateway timeout
Post by: laserbluemini on November 05, 2009, 06:54:02 am: want to start playing soon but can't register cuz of gateway timeout with the account registration page.

Anywhere else I can register? or do i have to wait it out?

The game registration page is a very basic HTML form with PHP script to manage the entered details. Any current browser will be able to handle it.

The only reason I could imagine, why you could not access the page, is that the whole server crashed, or that you had local network issues on your site, e.g. you have to connect via a proxy which refused the server address, or had connection issues (e.g. I have a satellite connection at a specific location, and get this kind of error often when the weather is so bad that the satellite link fails).

If there is still a timeout, then the HTTP daemon ("Web server") might not work at the moment.

Please try again in a few hours / days ...

It's actually right that it doesn't work - I just tried and get the same. I hope someone of the team reads it soon because this should be a rather high priority thing...
