Title: Cant get onto server, FREEZING BUG

Whenever I  try to open up the plainshift game it begins to initialize the world and it take almost and hour and after I wait it out the game partially loads but remains frozen and I cant move, when I try loading it again it takes another hour and I have the same problem. What should I do?

At the moment I cannot offer any helpful advice here.  I can only say that it works ok for some and not for others.  Why it is not working well for you I cannot say.

I\'m having the exact same problem, please solve it as soon as possible.  :(
The screen is actually frozen, since i can\'t move, move the chatwindow, or activate it.

you can try with several version of Windows, and also play with Compatibility Mode...

Are you using openGL or software mode? whatever you are using, try the other one ;) .

I use SafeMode, OpenGL  doesnt work it says I have no hardware acceleration

Same thing is happening to me :(

I tried lots of things but it still doesn\'t work.

By the way, where do you find the compatibility thing?

hey folks,

sometimes it takes unusual long to load the game (may be due to traffic on the server). Then I usually quit and try to reload, that often helps to get into the game.

An other thing is a stalled game after loading. Try to check your fps then. (a description how to show fps can be found here (http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=3311&boardid=17) ). The game is not really stalled then, but awfully slow.

Especially since the quest started fps sometimes drops below 1 fps....
...sometimes it helps to reconnect, sometimes you have to wait like 10 minutes, before it is back to usual again.

its not my FPS they move at a good pace on other games I play and this has been happining since before the new quest was released

To further troubleshoot your problem maybe you might want to provide all of us here some info on your specs - CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Operating System, Graphics Card... All these would help.

It worked! I waited for it to upload again and it ended up freezing but after 5 minutes the screen started moving from side to side and showing clearer pictures and then after a while I got the full picture and I could move a little but I couldnt type in the text box
