Title: Unimplimented towns
Post by: azeral on December 11, 2009, 08:49:11 pm
i have heard in various npc dialogues references to towns and cities that are not implimented yet do exist in the yliakum universe,so if anybody has heard of any post them here. This way I hope to compile a list and get a more complete image of the world of yliakum beyond hydlaa and ojaveda.

Several towns and locations are already mentioned in the "Player Guide" in the "3. Settings and Background (http://www.planeshift.it/guide/en/setting.html) -- 3.4 Yliakum History (http://www.planeshift.it/guide/en/setting-history.html)" chapters.

Remember Kadaikos!

83.33% of Ojaveda
Nalvys (barn)
Villages, hamlets and minor cities (around 35)
Amdeneir
Quintheiron
Delving
Death realm (it's supposed to be huge and contain cities in it in the future)
And the list can continue, longer and longer.

Read books.

There's also the Hanging Gardens, 7 Bronze Doors, Homestead, Hetsan, Sarpendil, and Kormia...and that's just on the first level.

Im curious to know what has been implemented (sor far as of this release date of 0.5)
as far as I know only the level with Hydlaa, Oja, Bronze doors, and the Kran town( i forgot the name)  exists, (death realm, and mini campsites and stores, not included though)

Learn by experience, start running and don't stop until your exhausted and lost. Then find your way back. Repeat in a different direction.

You will then appreciate the land more.  ;)

I do have to wonder, it's an expansive project, the world, if they do create it that large at the end, will be very impressive, without a doubt, I wonder what it will all look like, furthermore, how big it will all be, and finally at what far flung point in future will this ever happen? At the moment it would be inadvisable to try and implement the entire world into planeshift, mainly cause there are, at best, 200 or so players online at once. Also, I guess if it ever reaches the stage where it's that big, what kind of servers are going to run this game...

Haha why did they manage 83.33% and not just 83% or the even better 84%?

"83.33% of Ojaveda missing" means that 5/6 is missing, only 1/6 present. Well ... simple calculation (6 Enkidukai tribes, but only Akkaio available); but not really exact (rather a "half-baked scheme" / "milkmaid calculation"), as the footpoint of the Dsars or more general areas of Ojaveda is possibly not equal: 4 Dsars (Akkaio as the biggest, Kore, Rabani, Blikau) building a circle around the center (Sarraghi), and the Mills (the suburbs) following outside the city.

Do remember any of this information can change at any time and that the PSWiki is not necessarily accurate.

Just a gentle reminder :)

even official setting might change any moment till 1.0 at least...
obviously we try to preserve the official one while pswiki isn't said to be respected being mostly player generated.

Well, that was a very quick calculation with google's calculator.
I believe it's more than 83% of Ojaveda left, I just forgot the steel Bazaar, part of Akkaio, and still not implemented.
If it will be the size of the warehouse district, akkaio doesn't seem very large, then.
