Title: Hand to hand combat

Well i know there wont be any pking in the game but will there be hand to hand combat? Like if you start hitting eachother a meter will go down and if it reaches 0 you faints and you ramain unconcius for awhile so that the other figter can get away.

I\'ll have a go at answering though I had a hard time reading the post with all the typos...

Hand to hand combat.  What do you mean exactly?  Monks doing unarmed combat?  Or general fighting?

The stamina thread answers questions about \"fainting\" and whatnot.  Yes there will be combat - not really \"hand to hand\" which means unarmed fighting - though I suspect that the Monks of the game will probably be capable of fighting unarmed, or with very specific weapons.

Combat in the game with the exception of maybe a few arenas I believe are going to be monster only.  So that may (or may not) answer your question.

wth theres gonna be no pking?
all mmorpg must have pking what\'s the point of playing if your only gonna fight monsters?

There WILL be pk\'ing, just in a controlled fashion.
i.e. In arena\'s or guildwars.  ;)

No pking, just controlled fights, where the loser ends up unconsious for 15 sec.

I like the idea, if you can\'t kill other players, beat them down. The religious PKing would die, i think, because the victims stands up after few seconds ...

But can the winner loot his victim?

it sucks that there is not going to be any Pking.. that was the highlight of all the other mmorpgs i\'ve played.. the greatest thing about anarchy was Pking in my oppinion...

Runescape is Runescape and it\'s a crappy 2D MMORPG. It is nothing compared to Planeshift.

I like the idea of small barfights, that way guild members that cant go killin baddies, could lvl with eachother.

But in these barfights where jou could just knock eachother unconscious, can you use weapons/magic?
Because it\'s rather awkward to nock someone unconscious with an axe or a fireball.  :D
