Title: rigged dlayo....

grawr i was casually strolling through the arena to kill innocent dlayos..
and i pop down into the room
and i hit a dlayo
i do nearly 0 damage....
the thing spins about 4-5 times then i drop dead
i check later, and the thing did over 1300 damage
i think the dlayos are rigged!!!
how many people have been victom to zee rigged winged beasts!!!
[they normally only do round 2-300 per hit to me]

A bug and a badass mob did you in bud.

Same thing has happened to me.

As for the buggy behavior I've seen mobs doing strange things lately, like running away, throu a wall and the reappearing behind you.
I take it the npc client needs tweaking.

Combat system or mobs are a bit broken. It's just says "not facing enemy" "too far" all the time. And they do what you say, they run past and then reappear in front. I suppose they are looking to repair it as soon(tm) as possible.
Well, I've heard that mobs have been invigorated a lot compared to 0.4. They say Ulbers are harder to kill now. Of course, don't expect to win a dlayo very easily, they are meant to be experienced and strong fighters. So, now you know they aren't some easy whimps.

I have had some luck with aggressive mobs just by standing there and letting them initiate the fight. it seems they do not dodge around in that case. That does not help with the ones that do not fight unless attacked though

ya i know dlayos are supposed to be some of the strongest monsters out there at least thats what i was told
but i did NOT expect the damage ratio to go from 200 to 1300, its a bit over the top if you ask me
and the weird moving monsters is kinda confusing
becuase you attack it, then it runs away, and you can think its cus of lag so you stand there or turn around and you dont hit it, then you move a few steps and it warps..@.@ hope its all fixed soon

lately? it's always been like that afaik. was once fighting ulbers when i was a total noob, escaped one that thought it was a ballerina. ran around a mountain/hill and waited 5 mins. figured i was safe and started walking away, and next thing i know this huge beast magically appears behind me and one-hit pwns. i wasn't lagging either.

Yes, lately...it takes Kaerli 5 minutes to kill a Rat these days, which is NOT COOL!  :oops: I'll have to talk to Khaki about this one...
