I used to play about 1 - 1.5 years ago, and everything was fine.
I returned yesterday and did the trial on a not updated version of the game. The game crashed alot of times so I decided to update it and it now says in the title bar: Plane Shift etc ... (5.0.1). So it is the latest.
When I entered on the char I just pressed "w" to move forward and it crashed :S. Afterwards it crashed in the loading screen (the one before the login). I tried for over 20 times, before deciding to uninstall. I re-isntalled the game and tried with no update. It crashed and said update to 5.0.1.1 so when teh dialogue box to update popped up I chose yes. And in teh title it now says: Plane Shift etc ... (5.0.1) - not 5.0.1.1. Same thi g happened. I logged in and moved forward. It crashed.
Are updates created for the game to crash :S
My PC handels the game as I did the trial without crashes. (CRASHES always occur in loading screens).
OS: Windows 7 (7100 RC1).
Intel Core 2
RAM : 2GB
GC: ATI Radeon HD 3600 series.
Thanks. :)

I was able to run it fine with .5.0.0 and the latest .5.1.1
When you say crash, does the game
A. freeze up
or
B. Actually close and terminate
If A (freezes) then look in the directory where your cfg file is
and look for a file or directory named 'shadercache'
If you find a *directory* named shadercache then delete it
- the newest version expects this to be a file.

Thank you for your suggestion but I had already tried to look for it and it is no where. All I have is a shadermngr and shader directory. [I even used the search function].
Any more suggestions anyone ?
Thanks once again. Rigwyn :)

If you run it from the commandline ( cmd window ) you should see some output ( error messages etc )
I'd there anything telling in there ?
Perhaps try uninstalling and then installing version .5.1.1 ?
