Overview:
When: Saturday, March 27, 2010 - 2PM ET or 18:00 GMT
Where: Lake of Tears Outpost - Bronze Door Road2
Details:
There have been lots of animal migrations as of late and it seems many new species have arrived from the bronze doors. So the Explorers Guild, as part of our monthly series of fairs, is hosting the Great Dome Safari. We'll travel all over the wilderness areas on Bronze Door Road and Ojaveda Road and visit all of these mysterious creatures, including tlokes, arangmas, riverlings, and various new species of trepors, consumers, and ulbernauts. If the group is large, it's likely inevitable that we will be noticed and attacked at some point so we are looking for fighters and healers to ensure group safety.
The group will meet at the outpost by the Lake of Tears and proceed from there.
OOC:
Lots of new critters have been introduced in the past month...more all the time. Wondering what is where? Haven't seen them all yet? Join the safari and get a close up look at many new habitats.
-
/me believes this could be an occasion which should start with a basic survival training, which he already plans to offer... to avoid too many "victims of their curiosity".
-
Maisent will go, but it depends on the time she will be awake in yliakumm
-
/me gives a genuine smile that hasn't been seen in weeks. She whispers to herself, "....I miss the thrill of the hunt... a simpler time..."
[love the idea, sorry I had to miss the first hunting expedition RP.]
-
/grins at the idea of everyone being *noticed and attacked*. He writes himself a note 'nail the healers first.'
-
lol rigwyn you sotle my idea >:( :P
-
Eyickos thinks ahead and decides that he will attend but then decides to travel to the Lake of Tears outpost to know where it is.
OOC:
4:00 PM in Eastern North America time right?

OOC:
Yeah, I hate when this happens...I'm not too good at time zone conversions as it is. According to my calculations, that makes it 1800 GMT. Can anyone confirm? It's not 2000...that's probably why you were off by 2 hours, bendad123. My bad.
*Mordaan facepalms* All those in game signs!! X-/

Great job Outpost Crew. \\o//
Here is a link to Destina's new gallery containing her screen shots of the Safari.

There are over 160 shots here. So be prepared.
Our site does have Colliris for those that can use that. The link is for the galley page so you can skim through the pages, use the slide show or click through from the beginning.
The general options become available after you click onto the first picture. If you enlarge the picture move your cursor into the top left or right hand corner to go to the next or previous picture.
Most of these will be featured in another gallery we are currently working on for the guild site. Which will consist mostly of unedited pictures.
This was a really good event and covered a lot of ground. Again, a great job on putting this together.

Nicely done! Thanks for all the pictures.
We had a good time, and started off with a nice sized crowd. Thanks for all who joined us! And thanks to Erelenga for his expertise. :D
-
Yeah that was really fun Mordaan and Erelenga and all! Thanks for the great shots, Destina! And who was that hungry Maulbernaut that kept to talking to us about eating us all? :sweatdrop:
