SCHOOOOOOOOL!...don't the most of us find it conflicting? Well I figure here is the place to vent from your school frustrations.

-remember to keep your name and school to yourself, so many stalkers these days.

Don't forget about hot lunch!

School sucks but you need it otherwise you'll end up with a career at walmart saying "have a nice day" to people as they leave.

school is the best place in the world. otherwise where will you learn to think you know everything. i love it.

the best thing is watching their faces when you shatter thier high school views of pristine reality with the greys and grays of the real world. wonderful, a real bright point in my day.

oh wait, you were refering to time in school?

otr, un and dis while both negative are not negative in the same way. back to school for you.

I just changed it to keep your name and school to yourself, that way I don't have to deal with scary vocab. that I didn't pay attention to in school.-

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love school and I love to learn, the only thing that i really hate about school is lunchtime. I have C lunch which means that the food is cold by the time i get there, the floors are messy, and everybody is pushing in the lines because they are so hungry. And then you have the segregation of clicks. You have the whore table, the jock table, the AP geniuses circular table, then the less appreciated artsy kids [thats me] who sit against the wall, and the rest of the tables are filled with preppy kids, ghetto stars, and normal folk. Yes the cafeteria is a nightmare.

That does sum up the cliques in the cafeteria, without going into much detail. However, you forgot one important thing:

1. The whores infiltrate all groups.

LOL !

We used to have a science teacher who was so fat, she had to waddle into the doorway to the classroom sideways. This is not an exaggeration, she was kinda wider than deep. Her classroom was lined from ceiling to floor, wall to wall with neatly stacked and labeled glass jars filled with brains, glands, guts, cysts, eyeballs,  worms, scraps of this and that from god-knows-what...

You have to wonder about people who prefer who collect tons of seemingly insignificant dead stuff and surround themselves with it.  ::|

Ahaha my Social Studies teacher , and Religon (Catholic) teacher are from the military, they are veterans, so basically in Religon I have no freedom of speech. Also I go to a private school, which is good and bad, bad is that I have to where uniforms, good is there are alot better parties.(Bigger houses, better food and drinks)

This sounds like my Romanian Biology teacher. She is crazy but she teaches very well. Teachers can be super crazy like this one teacher that I don't have, I hear that she throws her clipboards across the room, slams her podium on the ground until a wheel or something falls off, and she always does things to her class like force them to be silent for an entire period and do nothing, or copy stuff out of the books while she gives them all the death stare in silence. Well my friend and I stalk this teacher and have delightful conversations with her every day since she acts nice to us because we don't have her as a teacher, and they say she's nice to any students she doesn't have.  :D

my classmate was about to throw a snotty tissue at a bin near me, the teacher said it might hit me, and then the classmate said i might ninja him if it did. or, that i could secretly have a fetish for snotty tissues... he went on about that for a few minutes, until he noticed no one was paying attention anymore. weird.

Best thing about school is that when its over, its in the past.
All those things that seem to matter so much... Image, prestige, popularity, infamy, being the class nerd etc... It all vanishes as soon as school is over :)

Once you get outside of school, nobody cares or even remembers these things.

My collaborative research project folder disappeared. So yesterday I had to use my well earned break to retype the whole freakin' thing from memory as well as finding all my sources again. I was kind of upset (scratch that REALLY upset), but now that I basically have my paper again, I'm not too worried. My teacher said an option was to choose a different topic that they had the research done already, but in my mind I was like "HECK NO I JUST SPENT A WHOLE NIGHT RETYPING IT WHY WOULD I CHANGE IT NOW?" So basically I just have to let my social studies teacher read it so he can make sure the facts are true.

This just means that in the next few days the folder is going to reappear out of nowhere.

We were arguing about evolution today.  :surrender: So the whole class was going against a few people and a teacher. (I was one of those few) and it was a one sided conversation towards the end of it all when you live in S.C.

ask them if they've read the bible. chances are they haven't. the bible doesn't disprove evolution, unless you're a dumbass who can't read for himself. a lot of it was lost in translation anyway.

btw the death penalty is great when used properly. i think we should have public executions, actually.
Title: Re: School relief thread
Post by: Geoni on April 13, 2010, 01:53:33 pm
I disagree Sarras, public execution is the perishing of people's fear right in front of them just so they can sleep better. Plus, there have been many cases where people were proven innocent too late, after they were executed. I say that since we aren't really going to get rid of the death penalty any time soon, we should harvest the organs of death row inmates so that we actually save some lives.

In German Class....
(after watching a video about food)
Teacher: And what food do you guys want to eat?
Friend: The weißwurst and sh**.....oh my god.

Whole class bursts into laughing!

Also made my day in same class:
My other friend apparently asked my teacher a question, I didn't hear it though...
Teacher: Well, which of the two do you like?
Class is silent....
Other friend: THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER!

Sigh I love my friends :P

you got that from a youtube video, didn't you?  X-/

the purpose of public execution is to warn would-be criminals. and it worked pretty well. the death penalty is a little screwed up, and i think it should really be reserved for heinous and obvious crimes that show you're no longer fit to live among society, like mass murder or treason.

we're never going to ever harvest organs from death row, at least not western countries. it'll become an illegal trade and probably end up killing innocent inmates who never got fair trial. even if they had an option, you could argue they're agreeing under duress, which is also illegal. and who knows how messed up the organs of death row inmates could be?

that be risky business geoni

I think we should be harvesting the organs of death row inmates <---Yes, I saw this on a youtube vid and thought it was a great idea. If we could save a bunch of lives because of people who were too dangerous to live had healthy organs, then I say we keep the death penalty around. It does bother me that some people are innocent in death row, and get executed, but that would cause the justice system to look bad, and then there will be more caution in people who work to investigate things. Other than those rare cases, these people did kill, and there is no changing anytime soon to the death penalty.

Your opinion on public execution doesn't make sense. People kill because it is an uncontrollable urge that takes over their minds. There are hardly any would-be killers, there are mostly people who kill and don't realize what they are doing. People only want public execution because it gives the victims happiness to see somebody die, just the way it gave that person being publicly executed happiness. It's simply primal.

When it comes to the organs being healthy, they've banned cigarettes and alcohol, along with any other drug, and their food is the essentials, so they should have healthy organs. Like any organ donation outside of a family, it needs to be carefully done, and checked throughly.

by the way, why would somebody be publicly executed for treason? It's not that serious.
Title: Re: School relief thread
Post by: Rigwyn on April 14, 2010, 11:18:35 pm

Funny how people feel like its acceptable to kill someone as long as they have a reason to justify it.

Whats a reason ? Its a train of thought  - usually consisting of man made rules.

Why did that criminal kill someone ?
Probably had something to do with his or her train of thought   ::|

So now a socially unacceptable train of thought makes killing someone a bad thing,
And a socially acceptable train of thought makes killing someone a good thing ( or neutral at least ).

Hrm .. not sure I agree with this. I dont think the thought justifies the action *when there is an alternative to killing*.

Personally Im against killing people. In this day and age we can isolate a dangerous person from society without resorting to violence. I don't think that stooping to their level and becoming like them is the right answer. War and situations where there is no alternative is a different ball of wax.

Strange what one gets to read here...

especially, regarding that "Weißwurst" comment up there...
are there also courses/teachers that are called "german" in the states that do talk about GERMANY and not about BAVARIA?

(For those who do not know that germany has provinces as well... well...
Bavaria is - at least for the rest of the germans - treated similar like the rest of the US treat Texas (and its inhabitants). No offense here, but actually, there are so many parallels... When I was dealing with americans who came to Germany (Essen Game Fair) for their first time, I really encountered dialogues like this:
"Why isn't anyone wearing Lederhosen?"
"Well, Rick, why aren't you wearing a cowboy hat? Are you from Texas?"
"No, I am from Arizona..."
"See? And this is not Bavaria...")
Title: Re: School relief thread

What I mean is that since that stupid death penalty is not even close to being abolished, why just kill them and waste a perfectly good body? So many lives can be saved [people who wait to their death to receive an organ, never getting one].

I'm against the death penalty, but since I've looked into is so thoroughly, I've realized it's not going to go away anytime soon. I don't really think the punishment should fit the crime, because two wrongs don't make a right. I also think that death row inmates should not be in solitary confinement for ten to twenty years, because that is hellish torture. I think that if the public vote doesn't at least want the death penalty to go away, then why won't they use their brains and try to have that alternative way, saving lives.

All that I'm trying to say to the people that are for the death penalty is this: If you don't want to change things that you do, at least reform them so that it's not so horrendous.

i know this is a "sticky topic" that boils down to personal views, so I'll stop here.

All people must be held responsible for their actions.

If a man is about to murder another man he should know that if he commits that crime, he will die.

If a man rapes a woman he should know that he will never see daylight outside of the confines of a prison courtyard.

Deterrence is important in the justice system.

Punishing the guilty does not mean taking away their rights - it means they are accountable for their crimes and must be punished.
Quote
People kill because it is an uncontrollable urge that takes over their minds.

Sorry?

Uncontrollable?

This action cannot be controlled?

No, it is a choice. A man does not kill because he was forced to by this "urge". He killed because he chose to kill.

Choice is very important - a man chooses to murder. For his choice there are consequences.

Testing, harvesting, labs, experiments. Prison inmates are easy targets for this. After all, what line is there to cross?

Title: Re: School relief thread
Post by: Sarras Volcae on April 21, 2010, 10:36:22 am
what?

i don't see why bullying is a problem. until it gets violent, it's simply acting immature. i always ignored or laughed at "bullies" and never really had problems. and when they are violent, it's easier to take punches and watch them piss themselves when they realise how pathetic they are. if they're good fighters, which is uncommon, use a quick take down... just don't try to get them back. that would be stooping to their level. so, to deal with "bullies", treat them like oversized toddlers.

seriously, i'm not catering to LGBT's helpless whims. if they actually cared, they'd stand up for themselves.

and i'm not being insensitive. as a girl, i've seen lots of prejudice and violence and whatnot relating to sexism. but i deal with it myself and don't whine like a coward. you can't just ask for equality. you have to be equal.

omg i'm tired nighty

Oh I did this :) but the problem is a lot of kids aren't mature enough.

My friend got really frustrated and stopped doing it because people kept asking if she was les (which she is not). And really some people don't get it :/ a lot of people kept yelling at participators to say something. I explained to them that people choose when they talk during the day (i.e. participate only during lunch). Then they just ignore what I say and obnoxiously start saying I'm talking.

Good grief it was a frustrating day. But, I participated for personal reasons.

Sorry, just had to put my input into it.

Anyways anyone else doing frustrating tests? I have the PSSAs....

LESBIAN!

they day is immature itself. i bet it makes tolerance worse. most kids won't understand the meaning of the day, they'll just think it's stupid to stay quiet, they'll submit to peer pressure and accuse whoever of non-straightness, and it all ends up reinforcing intolerance. the mature thing to do for this cause is to actually doing something. not yearly. daily. all the time. like standing up against bullying whenever you see it.

Heh heh ...

Well, I think what this boils down to is people wanting someone to pick on.
The guilty feelings take away from the fun of picking on someone so they alienate
you by calling you something that they oppose. Now that your on "the other side"
they can pick on you without feeling guilty.

OMG I had the weirdest dream about school last night. The entire school was on a giant ship, and the seas were rough and thunderstormy. I had many classes on the third floor, so I fell down like 20 times in the dream. Then there was how everybody was a crappy magician, and they kept doing magic tricks in front of me that never worked. My backpack was invisible and so was everybody else's. I kept failing all my tests this one day, so that wasn't good.  ??? Anyways, what a weird dream.

Oh the backpacks dissapearing was annoying, and everybody in school was annoyed by it because they had to find the zipper.
The turbulent sea didn't scare me but I didn't think it was cool Perhaps this dream was a dream of annoyances.

There was a giant dancing cow from Chick-Fil-A at my school cafeteria today, that just adds to the weirdness of my dream.

It started dancing around and what-not. I'm scared to go back to school.
