Title: working shields

I'd really like to have working shields in the game.
Double-weapon fights are almost a PS trademark, though.
Anyway I'd like to have a choice.

for the time being just equip a shield and pretend it works :D

This is a long-standing issue; I'd like to see it fixed as well, sadly it'd require disentangling the thorny mess of brambles called the combat code  :detective:
