Hi,
thanks to the usual suspects our page in wikipedia has been deleted due to lack of notable sources. Notable sources are defined as 3rd party (non PlaneShift staff) editors writing articles about PlaneShift. The source is usually more notable if it's a paper magazine.
I would like to ask you if you can do a small research on your local magazines and see if PS has been reviewed in the past, and in case write here the Magazine name, Issue number and page where the PS article is located.
Thanks!

http://www.chip.de/downloads/PlaneShift_20094547.html
It's extremely short and only online, but the site is the online version of the rather big german computer magazine "chip".
I wanted, I can translate it after work :-)
edit after @RlyDontKnow 's comment: aww :-[

that's been quoted during the discussion and was not accepted as magazine article as it's more of a download site

I know there was a brief review in the german "GameStar" magazine, probably a Linux special edition... I could bet I once scanned this page. If so, I'll find it.
__
P.S.: I reported it already (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=24822.0) - so I am quite certain I can get the article again.

Yes, those are the ones posted to wikipedia:
PCAction July 2003 - 4 full pages, here is the scan of the first one : http://www.planeshift.it/pix/magazines/pcaction_page1.jpg
GameSurge July 2006 - article and screenshot of PlaneShift while speaking of mmorpg games http://www.planeshift.it/pix/magazines/GameStar-LinuxExtra_July_2006.jpg
LinuxMagazine (not sure about date) - inside the Sourceforge project of the Month, speak of Crystal Space and PlaneShift, there is an actual PlaneShift screenshot: http://www.planeshift.it/pix/magazines/page2_scaled.jpg

Not sure it helps, anyway I've searched for Planeshift on Sciencedirect and found these results (despite my academic access I wasn't able to read the contents so I can't tell what's inside but hey, it's peer-reviewed stuff!):
1.
Free/Open Source Software Development: Recent Research Results and Methods
Advances in Computers, Volume 69, 2007, Pages 243-295
Walt Scacchi
2.
Prototyping
Game Design Workshop (Second Edition), 2008, Pages 175-212
Tracy Fullerton, Christopher Swain
Oh, there are also some results on Google Books, but anyone can search there :)
(I really hope PS will get its wiki page back: I found it that way)
[EDIT: I've just discovered anyone can search on Sciencedirect too :-[: http://www.sciencedirect.com/ - well, it's an input anyway]

Very good sources. Also using your google book hint I found this:
Patterns for computer-mediated interaction by Till Schümmer,Stephan Lukosch , PlaneShift is mentioned on Page 84

I found

How funny - many of these articles seem to be in german, provided by german members.
And some german people tend to say that germans are sometimes the real "scottish" people (being lazy and stingy)... ;)

laziness is a virtue

The lazy person does it right the first time :)
...and it was someone lazy who invented the elevator ;D
There is a Danish (my country) review/article here:
http://www.macnyt.dk/?read=11052023454264151
Edit:
Also, PS is mentioned as a free MMORPG here: http://www.macmmorpg.net/
Edit 2:
Wow, if you Google "mac mmorpg planeshift", you get a lot of results worth mentioning, e.g. here: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/30
PS is also featured a a download on www.apple.com, isn't that a vote of confidence from my fav computer-supplier? :)

Well i've got in a source in:
http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/Planeshift
They said it is very good rating on 7.9 do you think it is good?
and on the review there i could say it's balanced
if you visit that website you could see "Early Quirks" review
( 50% 50%) :)
And developers wanted is 75% thumbs up I could say most of them want to contribute to the development \\o//

to save some efforts check any sources against this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources
as can anyobdy get the full text of the pcaction one.
as well bin the results that you find as trivial or non-trivial. for example trivial is a couple of sentances in a full article. non-trivial if it is multiple pages or the full article.
gah i can barely type... spent too long with the pressure washer in ~10c weather.

The fact that Venge did a huge talk with Google amounts to nothing?
Surely that's a notable source.

Such a thing is indeed a WP:RS, HOWEVER, secondary sources are required when it comes to establishing notability.
