Title: md5 sum 64 bit
Post by: justSome1 on May 07, 2010, 02:09:47 pm
Hi,

Could it be that the md5 sum that is listed on the Download page (PlaneShift-v0.5.3-x64.bin: 75f1c7ebe74ede626b699a222d321518) is of an older version? I downloaded it twice from different mirrors, but get the same, wrong md5sum (efd8452f27489013ef6c8fa7cd3d8d2f).

Thank you,

Well possible that some are still left over from version 0.5.2.1.

Talad already corrected the MD5 checksums of the 32 bit Windows and Linux versions, as far as I remember. But I don't know if he corrected all of them.

Downloads via BitTorrent are rather safe, because blocks different from the majority and the checksums in the torrent file can be detected.

Thanks. I'll take the torrent then and meanwhile boot Windows if I want to play the game ;)

Edit: The torrent file has the same md5 sum so I guess the downloaded files were alright as well.
