Hi,
I'm having a exam on a few weeks so I'll ask some questions
The Rules are as same as History Trivia and Settings Trivia
and ask anything BUT MATH I don't want your head to spin up only to count
First Question:
EASY There are two factions in American Civil War and what's their name?
-
The hot headed hillbillies and the cold hearted northerners.
So my question: What was the Third Reich? I forgot. It has something to do with WW2, that's all I know.
-
Germany under the government of the NSDAP, led by the austrian Führer, Adolf Hitler - who planned to rule the world a thousand years.
__
Not enough games with the Settings (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=36908.0) and the History (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=37230.0) trivias?
-
the government of the NSDAP,
Explain this to me.
-
NSDAP = "National-Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter-Partei", a.k.a. "the Nazi Party" in english.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSDAP => redirected to: "Nazi Party"
-
The hot headed hillbillies and the cold hearted northerners.
So my question: What was the Third Reich? I forgot. It has something to do with WW2, that's all I know.
Kids know so little about WW2 these days. Strange, I was almost buried in WW2 information during high school. And that was only a few years ago :P
I recently saw a quiz on T.V. The question was:
What "side" was Germany on during WW2:
a) Hostile (Axis) Nations
b) Allied Nations
c) Neutral Position
The person (a woman) in the quiz answered NEUTRAL. OMGWTF :P
Anyway, question:
The member of what secret society carried out an assassination that was the catalyst for World War 1? So name the secret society.
-
The person (a woman) in the quiz answered NEUTRAL. OMGWTF :P
"(a woman)" What are you trying to say?
About your question, I have an answer: "The Black Hand."
-
Who was the first president of the U.S under the constitution?
-
Umm George Washington?
K soo mine is:
What empire had obtained more land then any other in that reign. Btw I am related to this country if that makes an sense.
-
The Roman Empire.
Who was the first president of the U.S?
-
The Roman Empire.
Who was the first president of the U.S?
Acctually its the British Empire with 33.7 million km in 1922
-
Okay, a question about a question on my exam that I need somebody to answer: What were the three big mistakes of Napoleon Bonaparte?
-
well, he was french, for one
So my question: What was the Third Reich? I forgot. It has something to do with WW2, that's all I know.
nearly pissed myself
-
Okay, a question about a question on my exam that I need somebody to answer: What were the three big mistakes of Napoleon Bonaparte?
1. Napoleon's conquest in the far-east was Napoleon's Foot Troops prevailed but English Navy with the leadership of Admiral Nelson destroyed
Napoleon's navy
2.Napoleon can't attack England because his armies were held by English Navy on the Channel
3.The biggest mistake was invasion to Russia This happened because Napoleon broke the Tilsit Convenant and by that he sent lots of army
To Russia he can rule Moscow BUT he was kicked by Russian rebels the result is only 10% of Army Of France can get out of there alive
IS THAT CLEAR?
And if it's correct
The question is who defeated Napoleon in Waterloo?
-
Okay, a question about a question on my exam that I need somebody to answer: What were the three big mistakes of Napoleon Bonaparte?
1. Picking a fight he couldn't win
2. Losing the fight
3. Getting caught
-
The person (a woman) in the quiz answered NEUTRAL. OMGWTF :P
"(a woman)" What are you trying to say?
I meant totally nothing by it. In hindsight I see how some people could take it wrong. Meh, says more about you than me that you took it that way ;)
-

We can bate about it, but I'm really tired and I have to go to school in five minutes.

That's the right circumstances to start a day at school?! :-\
-
Probably played PlaneShift all night long 8)
-
For the Who Defeated Napoleon in the BAtlle of waterloo: The British and Prussian Army. The British Army was lead by the Duke of wellington. And Admiral Nelson's sister is acctually my ancestor, which is kinda cool.
-
Which famous U.S Supreme Court Justice is notable for his work in strengthening the power of the federal government during the relatively early years of the republic?
-
Only answer if you've read Count of Monte Cristo:
This one I kind of need help on: What are some themes of the Count of Monte Cristo. Explain a little bit. Also, in the end, do you think the Count's vengeance was worth it, and self satisfying?
-
Next Question :
Adolf Hitler's Nazi had a some sort of communication Encryptment system what is the name?
-
enigma. anyway math questions are the most useful :P
-
What is the Sussex pledge? [WW2]
-
The undertaking of the Sussex Pledge was:
* Passenger ships would not be targeted;
* Merchant ships would not be sunk until the presence of weapons had been established, if necessary by a search of the ship;
* Merchant ships would not be sunk without provision for the safety of passengers and crew.
I got it in Wikipedia
Next Question:
Who was Stalin?
Anyway don't ask too much about WW2 although they are interesting
:P
-
Its okay, the Sussex pledge question wasn't on my exam today, which was easy but there were 200 questions to answer in an hour and a half. Basically the Sussex pledge prohibits unrestricted marine warfare.
Stalin? Well that guy was the fascist leader of the soviet union. Signed a non-aggression pact with Hitler, whom screwed him over later in the war but was a bad move on his case, because it marked the beginning of Hitlers downfall.
Ugh, exams have me pooped. On top of that I'm really tired and sick this week...
-
Anymore questions?
Well, here's one:
Who was Winston Churchill?
anyways there's a hint:
He lives in UK :P
-
he's dead actually
-
he's dead actually
He's maybe dead but his spirit still lives for the people of United Kingdom
-
these questions are too obvious. just answering them is embarrassing. it's like asking who mary poppins is and expecting no one to know.
-
hahah yeah i know.
-
Which famous U.S Supreme Court Justice is notable for his work in strengthening the power of the federal government during the relatively early years of the republic?
This isn't obvious, but for anyone who has studied U.S History it's a no brainer...he's the most influential chief justice to the U.S that ever took office.

Which person, in the 14th century, used an iron hand?
-
Which person, in the 14th century, used an iron hand?
Hmmmm................. :-\
this is hard question you'll need to search it
-
literal or figurative? ::|
-
Literal. He lost his real hand while offering his services. If four or five more people can't get it, I'll post a link.
-
In 1508, German mercenary Gotz von Berlichingen had a pair of technologically advanced iron hands made after he lost his right arm in the Battle of Landshut. [ http://www.amputee-coalition.org/inmotion/nov_dec_07/history_prosthetics.html (http://www.amputee-coalition.org/inmotion/nov_dec_07/history_prosthetics.html) ]
I copied and pasted that. :P
-
That is him, although he does have his own wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotz_von_Berlichingen). I guess it's you aught to post a question.
-
Anymore questions students?
/me Pretends to be a teacher
:P
-
bah here's a math one. in the cauchy proof why can't epsilon be less than zero? bonus points if you don't have to check wiki to know what the cauchy proof is. extra bonus points if you can state what the implecations for the proof if epsilon is less than zero.
-
we all know you're good at math steuben so shush ;D
-
wish i could do more advanced math. my school won't let me.
-
I dunno how to type out math on this forum, but I would answer...if I could.
pfft! I'm lying. Don't know shit about math. ;D
-
HARD MATH I HATE ALL TYPES OF MATH :@#\
-
I "know of" this proof, which is not the same thing as being able to utilize it. But it is a proof and you cannot posit a negative so it simply wouldn't apply if the values were less than zero.
-
Wrong Verden. The negatives do apply because as you will see in this equation...
1 - (-Fish) = 2 Fish
-
Damn. So much for that lol! Would you believe that I can usually get the right answer about half the time with an answer like that (if I don't actually know the answer)?
-
Well you just didn't assume that I wouldn't have that not so stupid equation that wasn't not right and when I continue to use these negatives in a fashion that doesn't not make your head spin you can safely assume (not unlike previously before) that I don't know anything about math above its practical uses in my not so everyday life.
-
If you don't KNOW the answer ask another that you don't know
-
okay here's the answer. epsilon can not be less than zero since be definition of the proof epsilon is an absolute value, which by definition is always positive.
if epsilon was less than zero then you are working in a surreal space, and the cauchy proof would have to be extended to cover it. which is left as an exercise for the class.
-
Who was the leader of the British at WW2?
It's not Winston Churchill but England's Queen at that time
-
Elizabeth and George the sixth I believe. What is the Golgi Bodies and what does it do?
-
I forgot i'll search it later
-
Elizabeth and George the sixth I believe. What is the Golgi Bodies and what does it do?
I think the Golgi Body is a part of a cell. it functions as some kind of a factory. That is what I remembered.
Who are the coreur de bois and what do they do?
-
A coureur de bois is someone who engages in the fur trade without permission from the French during the late 17th Century, and early 18th.
What are the three main industrial uses for the valuable carbon allotrope Carbon Black?
