We have added an in game Webcam where you can see live-streamed events by GMs or Developers. We stream usually when a major event is going on, and we are streaming right now to test it.
The page is now linked to the main PS web site under "multimedia" (http://www.planeshift.it/ingame_cam.html).
Enjoy!!

cool!
...although I still think this thing is stalkerish......
-
ow! just a few seconds before was switched off... good idea, a window in another universe like "Fringe" ;D
-
Wait, so now you are filming roleplays? ;D
-
I like it, good job

My crystal eye webcam doesn't work for the acer aspire 5532. Though I guess this thing could turn out to be a bit stalkerish, and I always have messy hair on the weekends and after school, which is PS playing time for me. I don't like seeing myself when I'm trying to be somebody else. :P
Modified: I really didn't see what the original post meant. LOL I approve of this, but I wish that it wasn't solely the events by GM's or Developers.

It's up , will stay up in the next 8 hours or so, if the webcam server stays up.
About privacy, you can check on the webpage what's getting recorded, and avoid the spot.

This is a great idea! A nice way to see what's going on in the game for those of us who can no longer play due to older video cards.

Looks like the same thing the other guy did last winter, was that Miadon? Basically just a screenshot macro.
-
Miadon, indeed - he used a "screen recorder".
Well, I wonder if this feature is now integrated into the PS client (maybe a specialized build), or done outside the client.

Just re-created my webcam, but have to recreate the webpage for it, but at least my sig works again :p

Sig pic is small enough (dimensions and file size) and not animated. Should be acceptable now...
