is there a way to change the resolution w/o launching the game? I'm trying to play on a netbook with a very small screen and, such as it is, the top and bottom of the screen is cut off so I can't see or scroll over ANY of the option buttons.
thanks

Settings like that are part of the PSlauncher application, but if your resolution is netbook small it might not be possible to get to the Settings button. Unfortunately, you can't resize the PSlauncher window, so I don't think there is much you can do.

You could manually edit PlaneShift\pslaunch.cfg and %APPDATA%\PlaneShift\planeshift.cfg, however resolutions below 800x600 are not truly supported.
-
Also I really doubt that a netbook has suitable hardware for a rather 3D intense game like PlaneShift; it should have a graphic card with Pixel Shader 2.0 support, 2 GB RAM, a DualCore processor ... without them all, it won't be much fun.

pfft i can play just fine on a single core cpu but then again it has hyperthreading support but i've playd 0.5x on a single core 800mhz so it's doable

There are places where the CPU is the bottleneck (due to a not very efficient culler). Especially Hydlaa Plaza.

yes i have lag on the plaza but my cpu never hits 100% there
