Title: Ezpcusa Server down?
Post by: geneticcorruption on July 13, 2010, 05:38:23 pm
When I'm loading the game the EZPCUSA server shows it has failed. Is it down for maintainence or some other reason? If it down for maintainence a message, email, or something on the main PlaneShift site saying so would be helpful. If that is not the reason could someone tell me why else it would fail its connection. It has remained as failed for the last couple of hours. Thank you.

I am having the same problem. It went down last night around midnight my time (CST).

I wonder if this has anything to do with the update. I cannot figure out how to update my client 0.5.3 to 0.5.4. I have tried to click updaterinfo.xml, but it takes me to another game called Big Bang.

I don't know what is going on.

soon(tm)
it will be up when it is and not before. it is a bit of a difficult upgrade that is being down. made all the trickier by the fact that it is being done remotely.
but the last i saw it was going smooth... for large values of smooth.

Server is showing as "failed" for me. It has now been about 36 hours. Is this normal part of the Planeshift experience, or is this abnormal? Not a complaint, but I am just curious. I know that game is in development, and I enjoy playing even with the bugs.

It certainly was a normal part of the planeshift experience  :P Nowadays is that rather rare... skylab is still running though, so if anyone of the ezpc-people is curious about roleplay....

I am curious about the role-play version of the game...but I enjoy learning about the game on the ezpc server. I wish there were a way to transfer the character to the other server after they develop a little bit. It seems quite daunting to just start in the pc world when players know so little about the world they are supposed to inhabit. My character only now has some personality.  Starting over with a new character (with a bunch of 0s in the combat, jobs, various tabs) does not sound attractive right now.

Divide your time to play for a little bit one char and major part of the time your main char. The relation how long you play wich one will change automatically in time.
