PLEASE HELPME REDUCE LAGG. It would help alot being able to move. In another game you put it on very low quality but this game doesnt have that. How do I reduce the lag?
-
A good start would be to provide some info on your system.

What do you mean. How do I do it? I'm a newbie.

Switch off ambient sounds, background music, battle music, shadows and set shaders to medium (works better than low) and you should be fine (works for me at Pentium M 1,7GHz with 1GB RAM).
Edit: Also set camera to adaptive and after that distance to about 80. Don't forget to click SAVE button before leaving the Options menu to reflect changes.

Hi Bigrat.
Regarding your system, as phage mentioned: He meant that information like the type of your processor and your graphics card and driver would help to determine if maybe your hardware is the cause of the problem and how to work around it.
For the start, tell us what your operating system is (Windows xp? Vista? Linux?) so someone can point you where to find the rest of the info.
Best,
Minks

There are different reasons for "lag":
a) caused by an outdated graphic card having issues displaying graphic complexity
b) caused by an outdated processor having issues calculating modelled complexity
c) caused by a slow internet connection delaying client/server communication

Concerning specs of your hardware, you should always check a game's requirements before downloading it.
2 GHrz Processor, 2 Gig ram, Radeon HD 4800... Min Specs require... 1 GHrz Processor, 512 Meg ram, and ATI X1600. Sweet I can definitely play this game!
If you're not sure about a video card, you can always check the year between the oldest card that's mentioned as the minimum and the required for the maximum; being above maximum is plausible, but it may cause support problems (depends on the game). You can double-check your min specs here (at the bottom): http://www.planeshift.it/about.html
My issue, Computer-based lock-ups from a dead RAM stick (512 Meg Ram stick died about a month ago... I didn't realize my computer was trying to utilize it for weeks); it's out now, but still, just be aware of computer and internet problems, those are the main reasons why games will not work (aside from the bugs that are being worked on by the team, remember that Planeshift is declared to still be in the Alpha stage)

Ok, I'll try all those. :D Thanks.
