Title: I've read the 'Driver Help' thread and still can't run the game.
Post by: kungsumaniac on August 18, 2010, 08:00:59 pm
First off I'm attempting to runs this off of Mac OSX 10.6.4 (snow leopard)

My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, I've downloaded the latest update possible for this CUDA Driver 3.1.10

I also ran a software update and updated whatever graphic driver update that was available for Snow Leopard (I didn't write it down thinking that this would have solved the problem).

When I start up the game it still tells me that I need to update my driver.

I should also mention CUDA under my system preferences tells me 'Latest available CUDA Driver installed.'  However, immediately underneath it where its says 'CUDA Driver Version 3.1.10' next to that, it says 'update required' with an 'information' icon next to it.  When clicked it says 'The CUDA Driver currently installed on your system needs to be updated.  Please update to the latest CUDA Driver to ensure your CUDA-enable applications continue to function properly.'  According to the NVIDIA wesite this is the latest update for Mac OSX.

I think the problem may stem from CUDA, however I'm not certain, I would prefer not to screw things up further on my computer than I already have.

Also if it makes difference, I downloaded CUDA before updating my software via the 'software update.'

I apologize for posting even though there was 'Driver Help' thread, I wouldn't have posted this if I didn't feel as if I tried every possible means to solve this problem myself.

What happens when you start the game (launcher and client)?

Well the game opens to this screen (http://i317.photobucket.com/albums/mm370/kungsumaniac/Screenshot2010-08-18at40929PM.png?t=1282162324)

I apoolgize thanks, I didn't realize I need to have both the client and launcher open, I only had the launcher open, and I was only selecting play and nothing was happening.
