Yes the creation of yet another guild. This one is a RP guild which's purpose is to help those who have suffered great pain and sorrow.
Currently it is still ungoing creation and for this I need someone to help, a co founder. Either PM me here on this or contact my main character ingame "Phtaleine Zaburel" No need to be in character if you do the later.
All those who would like to join my guild and want to be kept informed of the progresses made, please PM me here and put for subject "Wish to join"

A character who hasn't suffered great pain and sorrow sounds like a boring character. I know at least every person in Yliakum has been through pain, so just about anybody can join this guild, which makes it seem generic.
I understand the purpose of this guild is to be a bunch of emos? If not then expand on it because that is what I'm getting from this.

Hahahahaha! you got it wrong, the guild is for those who wish to HELP those who are suffering. not the suffering ones themselvs. Once they feel better of course they can join to help others on their turn. But it's not a gathering of emos.

So how are they going to help? Will your guild be known to Hydlaa as the city therapists? ???

I don't plan on it covering only Hydlaa, I wish it to cover as much of Yliakum as possible. Also yes there is the listening and talking with the person, not really any other way to help someone in hard times. But as I said this is a RP guild and there is no guild like this one yet, well as far as I know.
Regardless, this is for the RP outside of the guild for there will be RP within the guild itself. Anyways I am keeping the project open untill the 1 november, if I haven't found a someone that would like to be a co founder and enough players to make the guild last longer than 5 minutes it will be given up on.
Also, maybe you don't like the idea I understand, but it's for those who feel like this is something missing in the game which I do believe. I also believe that way too much people train way too much. As they say on the site, Rp isn't all about being hero or villains there is alot more needed to be filled as role. And ya may seem like I'm making a guild of psychiatrist so what? If you don't like the idea don't join it's as simple as this.

I am sorry to say this, but to make a good RP guild it takes more than what you have put in to this one.
Sorting out some IC reason of existence, something the whole of Yliakum actually needs. Therapist sounds like the word.

A Therapist Guild sounds kind of cool. There has been many characters which my character has met pondering over some problem. There have been times when my character was in a dilemma about things. Choosing a guild, loosing a lover, etc..
On an OOC level it could work to help players find out who their characters are... or may be. That angle certainly has not been covered in any other medical guild that my character knows of.
A new specialist may well be blossoming on PS. Not sure if you can get a coach with winch access... yet a long table with some hides should do. ;)

AH! Finally someone supportive, I know it may seem rather strange and yes I don't mean this guild to be only IC I love rp which is why i want a guild of my own with which I can set up my own set of rp events. But in order to build the guild I need someone to help because I tend to give up on projects I start and do alone. Which is why I'm asking for a co founder. As I said previously anyone interested can PM me on forums (not reply I meant to private message me) those wanting to be co-founders put as subject "Wish to be co-founder" and those wanting to join put as subject "Wish to join" and then we can talk it. I also wish to offer my help on a OOC level as well.
As you have said, some players have a hard time knowing how their characters are who they are and etc. I wish to help everyone on as much as I can, but if everyone sttarts asking me help I can't possibly oblige it'd be way too much which is why I thought of a guild. I'd be glad to have you abboard if you are willing, you could be the lucky co-founder :) haha!

This isn't the first time the topic of bringing therapists into PlaneShift has come up. I'd like to see it actually happen.

well as said previously I need someone to help me work on it. I'm the kind of guy who gives up projects I start on my own so I really need a cofounder. By that I mean someone I can chat with regularly otherwise ideas won't get through and also that we wouldn't chat only on PLaneshift. this can cause issues as confusion whle roleplaying. Anyone interested ¸to be a co-founder, or just interested in helping the project without having a character inside the guild simply Forum PM me and I'll answer. I really just need someone to give me a kick in the butt once a while.
And ya, unless people actually want to join the guild it'd be a real pain to have a guild made of 4 alternates and 1 character I go on once a while. So come on people. Till first november! it's when the choice is made, If I have no help before then this guild project will be given up on. On the other hand If I do get the help I will not give up on it.
So please someone help me, I have alot of Pride so asking like this to the whole wide world is really hard for me. '-.-

Please read the PlaneShift Naming Policy (http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=31960.msg367015#msg367015) -- names are not allowed to be e.g. (similar to) celebrities, adjectives, titles, words not being usable as names in general... and that name sounds like a chemical substance (see also Phenolphthalein (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenolphthalein)) and will most probably introduce a bias against the character using it.
I wonder why there is no more "Sticky" thread about the expected format of an official "Guild Thread" in the Guilds forum area. But I am rather certain that there was one describing what it should contain (e.g.: title, verbose purpose, orientation {lawful...chaotic × good...evil}, ranks, founding/leading members...). Well, that won't be possible anymore for all of those threads which were created before this rule was once created, and the thread-creating forum users are not active anymore...

Actually for the Phtaleine part it is inspired from the chemical substance, But I really do intend on naming my first daughter that. Call me crazy but it sounds way too nice and way too cute just to be known as a chemical substance that most kids in school won't even remember (Btw I'm a guy and yes I like cute stuff and no I'm not Homosexual, I'm not homophobe and I'M not in the closet XD)
I could always look up for the way the GUild thread should be made The thing is I post here to get help building it, otherwise It won't get further than the idea.

Of course - while creating a guild, it would possibly be suitable to use a generic thread. But when it was created, then you should start to read threads titled with "[Guild]" and get inspired.
And yes - I call you crazy hereby. ;)

Haha! I don't mind being called crazy and sorry if I misplaced the Thread I was intending on once the guild was ready and created to make the proper thread as for right now the recruiting is actually only to take advantage, and see if it's a project that people agree with.

Seriously, ths sounds a good idea. More interesting than the average guild. We have a surplus of bandits, warriors and pointless guilds, but no therapists.

Well, along with the Yliakum Medical Association, you could have become the psychological counterpart to the physicians... Unfortunately great ideas are great as ideas, but too few join in their realisation.
Or maybe it's to early to bury it before it's born.

Instead of being very very specific, I suggest making something broad, so that you do not die quickly. A Medical Association is great. Form a psychological section within it, as LigH suggested.

A medical guild with a psychological department within it..... BRILLIANT! this is pure genious it also solvs me the issue of how to set the names of the Ranks members could be ranked according to their division! Absolute brilliance! I guess I didn't understand when previously mentionned but now I got it. So okay It's genius. I guess I can work on it alone for a bit but I still would LOVE someone to join me in this effort. Otherwise it'd be way too hard and boring for just me.
