Hi Jura.
"It didn't work." is a bit unspecific. Was there an error message? Did the installer crash? And at which point?
-
I ran the setup and I chosed to show me the icons on desktop. but after instalation icons didn't showed.
I went to instalation folder and draged "pslaunch" in terminal. it said
jura@jura-desktop:~$ '/home/jura/My Games/opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch'
dirname: extra operand `Games/opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch'
/home/jura/My Games/opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch: line 5: /home/jura/pslaunch.bin: No such file or directory
/home/jura/My Games/opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch: line 5: exec: /home/jura/pslaunch.bin: cannot execute: No such file or directory
-
I know nothing about Linux, but this
dirname: extra operand `Games/opt/PlaneShift/pslaunch'
looks to me like the space in the path (My_Games) might be the problem.
-
didn't help. there is still "No such file or directory" error
-
Where did you install the game when the installer asked you?
-
in: /home/jura/My Games/opt/PlaneShift
-
- open a shell(Konsole/Terminal)
type there:
cd /home/jura/My Games/opt/PlaneShift
./pslauch
first command takes you to the right directory, the second starts the launcher

it worked :) :) :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Don't thank me here...I have a reputation to loose ;)
For the icons...sorry, no idea where they went. Might be worth to check out your start menu and see if they are there somewhere.
