This thread is for those readers who are interested or simply curious. Feel free not to participate. Before anyone accuses me of anything I'd like to state that, all things considered, I don't know what to fully believe on the subject. However, many overzealous people tend to bring up the Mythbusters special on the "Apollo Moon Hoax" as the ultimate and final authority on the matter: "Watch the Mythbusters special, they debunked everything!!!". Ironically, it turns out that the Mythbusters got plenty of things wrong after all. The following videos are all very recent: from July 14, 2010 to October 12, 2010.

In October 1969, during their goodwill tour, the Apollo 11 crew gave a moon rock to the then US Ambassador to the Netherlands, J. William Middendorf, who in turn presented it to former Dutch Prime Minister Willem Drees. Last year, the moon rock in question was proven to be a piece of petrified wood.
