Title: Fullbright?
Post by: arisaka on October 17, 2010, 02:19:23 am
My game is sometimes on fullbright. When I change the resolution and/or fullscreen put the shaders to lowest, it becomes fullbright. Sometimes, after changing the resolution back to 1024x768, it becomes regular. Any way to fix this?

EDIT: Putting shaders on low, not lowest fixes this, apparently. Not sure if the resolution affects this at all.

What do you mean wiht fullbright? That was an old command line option for psclient that does not exist anymore.
Ist your game too bright? Then resetting the lightning with F10/11/12 might help.

Changing the render setting often may result in a corrupted "shadercache"; when you don't trust the shading anymore (or when you found a satisfying combination), delete this file once.

By fullbright, I mean like,  your player model is dark, almost black, and there is no difference between the day and night. NPCs at longer distances are totally black, and maybe other stuff. I did fix my problem, though. Thanks
