Title: Worn yet not wielded positions
Post by: novacadian on October 25, 2010, 12:53:03 am
If there are any fields destined to the character schema it may be helpful to add three or four holding placement positions at the same time. They could be seen as a separate area or section of the inventory. This would be helpful in future skins; to decide where to place weapons on belt (two sides and front for hanging gloves and such), back (possible five slots to include sacks) or arms ( eg. daggers in sleeves or some such).

Anyone is welcome to define the different areas better than this, yet hope you get my meaning.

That has been suggested for ages. You should have searched the forum section first.

My bad. Moderator, please move to appropriate thread or remove.

Thanks,

Yes, it's a nice idea to add weapons/sacks etc. to actual players/NPCs models. Like wearing a sheathed sword on a side, or back, wearing a bow/quiver on one's back etc. (And add animated drawing of weapons etc.) This would look  much more realistic. But I guess it's a non trivial change (it will require models redesigning).
