Title: Failed to render effect spell_failure
Post by: nick88389 on November 01, 2010, 07:13:06 am
Hello.  I am using Ubuntu 10.04.  I have had to disable texture compression in order to see any models rendered on the screen.  I am now having a problem with casting spells.  I receive the following error messages after a ten second delay in which the game freezes when I attempt to cast a spell.

Mon Nov  1 02:05:47 2010, <src/common/sound/data.cpp:133 LoadSoundFile SEVERE>
Mon Nov  1 02:05:47 2010, Can't load file 'magic-azure.cast'!
Mon Nov  1 02:06:01 2010, <src/client/psclientchar.cpp:561 HandleEffect SEVERE>
Mon Nov  1 02:06:01 2010, Failed to render effect spell_failure

Any help would be very appreciated!

First thing you should always try, is doing a Repair, in PSlaunch, as you may have a screwd up file. if nothing happens, well, ask sombody not me, heheh..
