on evrey computer I get on when ps actualy installs it takes atleast 15 min to load regarless of system speed as long as it\'s an xp box but anything else will lock
-
Unfortunately, this is a very hard problem to fix. There are many different factors involved that make it difficult to figure out why it is slow. For example, for me loading takes around 45 seconds to a minute in linux. For others it takes a couple of minutes and in your case takes much longer. So it is hard to know when we have it \'right\'.
All I can say is that we will continue to work in this area and hope that things get better as we go.

I heard there is going to be a binary format for CS. How is it going? Will it be used in PS?

Yeah, i have the loading problem too. It makes PS unplayable :\'( on my pc.
-
personally i can deal with the long load times if it meant the game were more stable and less laggy, im sure everything will come in time
-
only problem past that is once i\'m in (if my sys dosn\'t runn out of rescorces) I play for 30 seconds and then it locks
-
Yep same thing here. It is quite frustrating, and got me even that far that I\'m saving to buy some 512 RAM extra. Hope this wil solve some problems...
-
Game runs good on my PC, obviously not perfectly smooth but personally i wouldnt care if it always did that, just takes a bit of getting used to
takes about 30-35 seconds to load
if i had windows 98 would it really take minutes to load ??

i looooooves my gentoo linux :]
lot exactly 45 seconds, but you can\'t expect mirracles from an athlon-tbird 900MHz, 512MB ram and Geforce 2 MX
