Title: iMac Intel Core i7 with ATI Radeon HD 4850
Post by: lipsink on November 28, 2010, 12:59:01 am
Has anybody been successful with running the Mac client with the ATI Radeon HD 4850?  I've tried the 2 fixes from the readme, texture compression, and the turning the shaders off, but it's still broken.  The texture compression doesn't do anything, and with the shaders turned off, it washed everything out to a nice white color.  I've also downloaded the "fixps" program and that doesn't fix anything either, got the same results.

Before I forget I'm on 0.5.4..

thanks..

As I noted in my original post nothing special I have done to get the game to work. Only area I have problems is in some guild houses where things on shelves are to dark unless I log in in the house and then everything is fine. At night some maps are a bit to dark but I just use the in game brightness adjustment to make things lighter, for those maps that the brightness correction works on.

Only other thing I can suggest, run disk utility, permissions repair and run software updater.
