Hi,
I was wondering if Planeshift has deadreckoning built into it.
I was running a server (compiled from src) and a (official) client on two separate machines. After I disconnected the network connection between the two, I saw that the client did not give an error to the player till atleast around 10sec afterwards. However, errors being printed out in the terminal which I had used to start the client from.
Is this the correct behaviour of the client?
Does the client use deadreckoning?
Does anyone know where is the code responsible for this in the client?
Thanks

DR produces usually the most messages on the terminal from which you start the planeshift client. No idea about the rest though...

I saw threads on it in the past but not sure if it is the same thing you are talking about as I know nothing of these things. However, a search for "dead reckoning" in the search box brought up a few topics that looked like it might be related. And as for where it might be in the code, I would suggest asking Aiwendil since he seems to know where these things typically are.
