A sunny day in the Plaza. A Clamod fenki, clad in full plate, heads from the forge to the fountain after selling Harnquist some spare bronze ingots she didn't need. Today was a full day: she learned that necromancers never stay dead, and saved an Ylian friend from an Akkaio Enkidukol. "But I'm not even a guard… nor I will be." she thought to herself.
Dropping on all fours, her armor clinking a bit, she sways her tail behind her as she smells the water, pouting. She looks to the side to notice a dead rat in the fountain, and backs up. Tripping, she falls to the ground, and snarls "This armor is not for me… I miss the chainmail". Letting out a long sigh, she stands up, remembering her first day in Hydlaa… that Kore Enkidukol, a high rank from one of the Enkidukai clans, offering her his help. The Clamod heads to see Willam the banker, slowly, glancing at the buildings surrounding her.
-Good morning, Willam.
-Ah, miss Mishka. Your personal account?
The Clamod nods, reading the piece of parchment the banker hands her. She takes a deep breath and hangs her head. "Broke again… thank you, Willam. Guess I should mine some copper, eh?" says the fenki, forcing a smile to Willam. Instead of working hard to earn her circles, the fenki decides to wander around Hydlaa. She takes a seat under the shadow of one of the trees. And thinks. About her life. Who she was, and who she is. About the words of one of her friends: "So you are… a blacksmith, a warrior, a hunter, you know your bit of magic, how to cook, and you divorced Sabriel, so you're 'free'." Her friend forgot to say mother, bartender of the Red Crystal Den and a guard there. That was insane, too much work, even though she wasn't event a hunter or a professional cook. And about Sabriel…
Holding back tears, she thought about Sabriel. Sabriel was her husband. In a dash of anger, she divorced him. Convinced about her resolution ("I don't love you anymore!", she told him), she left the only person that made her happy. Dead on the inside, she tried to find refuge in her friends and her training, and another pretty Clamod, which could be mistaken as her twin sister. But, without Sabriel, Mishka was only an empty shell. Deep inside, she knew she was completely alone, with a broken heart that will never be fixed, because it misses a piece.
Wiping a tear from her clear eyes, Mishka sobs. And remembers when Sabriel gave her a bouqet of charmflowers: "I love you until the last flower dies." The last flower was made of crystal, with an inner fire burning whithin it, made by a known pyromancer. And how she cried when, without being able to do anything, the flower broke, burning and killing the others, leaving just a pile of ashes where the bouquet used to be. Not even with the death of her father she felt so sad and lonely. She realized that she was alone forever… unable to die, doomed in life. And the promise she made to her husband came again:
"I love you forever, Sabriel. I'll love you after death. Not even death will tear us apart…"
Full of bitterness, anger and sadness, Mishka ran away. She didn't even bother summoning her rivnak, not even stopping to take a breath. Running up and down the hills, past the Derghir village, crossing the Irifon river, entering Dsar Akkaio, getting home… to find it empty. She fell on her knees, resting her paws on her thighs, while the tears rolled freely down her cheeks, falling to the ground. She muttered with a soft, calm voice:
-Sabriel, I love you. I miss you. I'm sorry. Come back. Lurr'olo.

You see, I was led to believe that she had completely gotten over Sabriel. Interesting. Even Sabriel thinks she hates him XDD

Ressurrecting this thread in 3… 2… 1…
The fresh air of Amdeneir made her shiver a tad. Her fur bristled a bit, or at least that's what she could feel under the brigandine armor she was wearing. She looked at her paw: a long, slender blade shone when she twirled it a bit. The hilt, encrusted with smaragds, was perfectly balanced, and the tip made of the same gem was kept perfectly sharp. She walked around the pterosur, patting the creature's strong ings softly with a smile, and walked upstairs, towards the forge. Nodding a greeting at Kethzun, her gaze locked on the mature Kore menki near the anvil, moving hot stocks around and hammering them with his hammer. His fur lacked most of the white stripes, making him look like he had a completely white fur. She leaned against the quench tank and waited, when the menki flicked an ear, smiling.
-I've got something for you. - she spoke, while twirling the dagger once again.
-Oh? - Barike turned his head, still smiling at Mishka. She placed the daggerl next to Barike. He looked at it closely, a grin growing on his lips slowly.
-Well balanced! Thank you, Mishka.
-I'm glad you like it. - he gave her another grin, still admiring the dagger. Mishka hesitated a bit before speaking again:
-Have… did you speak with Sabriel?
-Uh, no, I've not seen him - he said, scratching behind his ear -. What was it you wanted me to tell him, again?
She felt like all the steel she hammered through her whole life fell on her heart, suffocating her, and thought "Is he alright?":
-Oh… well… nothing. Just that… I am sorry. That I still miss him and that. He was a good person and I was a… not especially nice to him. - the fenki lowers her ears, looking to the ground.
-I will tell him when I see him.
-Thanks… I'll go to Ojaveda and train a bit more with Ferryd.
-Have fun! - Barike waved at her and focused on his work again.
… to be continued
-
Looking forward to more of this.
