I downloaded all the parts that are need to run the game and the assembler exe aswell. I ran the exe and it went into a DOS screen and it said it was copying all the parts or something then the PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe came up. I ran that and it got to 99% and said
INSTALLER CORRUPT OR INCOMPLETE
THIS COULD BE THE RESULT OF A FAILED DOWNLOAD OR CORRUPTION FROM A VIRUS.
IF DESPERATE,TRY THE /NCRC COMMAND LINE SWITCH (NOT RECOMMENDED)
If u could please tell me how to correct this problem I would be very thankful as i have spent hours downloading this game.
Thank you
Yours Sincerely
Elliot Birch

check the size of the parts some of them might be incomplete and the ones that are redownload them
-
nup they are all the right size.
-
Have you run the MD5 program on them to check whether they have matching checksums with the ones on the download page?
-
What is that? Im not sure what that MD5 thing is.
I ran the reassembler and it made the PS.exe but when i open the exe it gets to 99% loading then stuffs up.

This sucks, someone help us
-
I don\'t know if its any help, but I\'ll write my own experience with this.
I first downloaded from the \'Primary download site\' and the Chapel Hill, NC location. I started all the downloads at once. When I tried to install and run it, I got the incomplete/corrupted message.
I then downloaded from the \'Primary download site\' and the Reston, VA location. I was carefull to download the parts one at a time and did nothing but surf the web while waiting (no serious cpu or bandwidth use). These installed nicely and without problem.
Just a little data, hope it helps.

Please read the last part on this page: http://www.planeshift.it/download_client.html and check if the files MD5 sums are correct, if not, redownload the file(s) that has a wrongful MD5 sum.
