Title: NO TEXTURES / SOUND LOOP

Hi everyone!

I've just installed Planeshift.
The game runs.
The problems come in when i try to create a character.

1) there's a clicking sound in loop. every time i click something, a new click sound is added to the loop.
2) My character looks all black.. no textures!

what can it be?

Hi there, no need to shout  ;)

The sound bug is known and will hopefully be fixed in the next update.

Does your character look okay when you load the game?
Without knowing your system specs I can only give you some general things to try:
Turn off HDR and Bloom, they are broken. Update you graphics drivers. Experiment with different shader settings.

black is normal during char creation, audio is a bug of openal.

both are known bugs - sound is an issue with openal 1.13, the black char is a bug that has been fixed on svn already.
anyway, yes: both will be fixed in the next release
