I just noticed that there are issues with ImageShack as picture hoster, they seem to have changed their policy and started the requirement of registrations for domains they allow for public presentations.
Example: VideoHelp forum thread (http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/332845-Please-register-videohelp-com-with-imageshack-us) (found via Doom9: MPC-HC (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1486560#post1486560))
So let's collect some recommendations for alternative image hosters with little hazzle.

I'm currently with ImageShake. Is http://photobucket.com/ (http://photobucket.com/) any good?

Yes vaka, photobucket is one of the most well known picture sites, at least where i live..

From what I understand http://fotobukkit.com/ and http://photobucket.com/ are two different sites. So, are you sure it was a mistype?
-
we will never know >o)
-
They are different sites with different services. One may prefer the feature-rich one, another the rather basic one.
-
Ok that's good, I've heard of Photobucket before but never bothered to try it out, looks good though.
-
Photobucket is excellent; I've used it as long as I've known about it and haven't even had reason to consider another image hosting site.
-
why would you use anything other than imgur

DropBox (http://www.dropbox.com) is a very useful filesharer. It allows you to simply place items in a certain folder, and these sync with the Dropbox server, you can set different folders within the Dropbox to public etc....
Very good.

DeviantArt is kind of a pain, but professional. I like Imageshack though! Recommended:
Imageshack (lots of options, good for hosting)
Twitpc (simple and easy)
Photobucket (a lot like Imageshack)
-
did you miss that this thread is about NOT using imageshack?
-
Apparently :D

Or mabey imageshack, is a lot like photobucket :P

what's wrong with imageshack anyway?

As mentioned in the linked sites in my starting post: ImageShack started to create a kind of blacklist and demand a registration to display images on specific embedding sites. Looks like they can't stand the traffic anymore.
