Title: Forget about guildhouses
Post by: Catlemur on April 25, 2011, 05:04:16 pm
My character is sick and tired of Octarchy's rulle! So I am going to create my own settlement somewhere in the wilderness. If you are interested PM me or respond here.Members of any guild are welcome.

Im with you 100%
Personally, Earowo sleeps outside everynight, by a campfire, with a blanket.
It would be nice to have a small settlement, free to stay the night at, especially if its not laggy like the exploerer camp.

Sounds like an interesting idea. But your character could have the Octarchy knocking on the settlements' doors. ;)

I'd be interested in that. My character is leading vagrant lifestyle at the moment and would be fun to make camp with an assorted crew.

I like to keep my characters at the Explorer's Camp on occasion. Would be nice to run into more people there, and there are even beds and tents and such set up.

You are not the first. I remember how Arerano's "Ways of Life" used to live in an imaginary den not far from the herb grounds of the Gobble Fangs.

depending on Jilata's mood there has been a time when I didn't even go back to a city. I build a garden at my sleeping place that time.  Sadly it vanished and I never rebuild it after that.

I might drop by the settlement sometimes. It would be a reason to stay even more in the wilderness than I already do ;)

I think anything that is built without contacting a GM is bound to disappear at some time, as items dropped for a long time are wiped off eventually. And what about explorer's outpost? Its exactly such a settlement, all the items are locked in place and its pretty well equipped too.
If its a rebel settlement against the octarchy its different I suppose, though explorer's outpost could still work fine... That will also need some planning in defining what exactly caused these people to rebel.

Something similar to Camp Banished, but without NPC comrades yet?

perhaps a little more prehistoric then that, blankets under a camp fire, with simple a protection from rain...
To me, the exploerer camp is way to big, its somthing you would use as a military base or somthing

It will be built outside the Ojaveda road north from the gobble village.I will drop some stuff there and make a screenshot.I will petition the GMs to lock the items we need there. The village will be a place where all separatists, anarchists or just travelers to stay in safety. The location is quite nice with a river nearby for swimming and fishing, many mining spots, herbs and creatures to fight.
The village is most probably going to be named Namis which means free in Enkien.

Love it, if you can let me do some of the home designing, idk if you were on the other day, but i was making a room, basically, in the dlayo pit, in a corner of it
i have screenshots of variations of the room..Personally i think im a good decorator.

I would definitely use Namis, especially if it avoids the lag of the other camp (I can't use the other camp it's so bad on my system).

I have to endorse Earowo vis a vis interior/exterior design - he can do all kinds of themes (like, the spare clean line look, the warm cosy look, he even can do the natural disaster look in case we want to rp the river flooding after a series of storms).  Plus he's fast, plus he did some sculptures (made from pies) that were impressive, beautiful and one looked alive (a bit like a big venus fly trap...venus pie trap)...

Love the idea.

I like the idea my character is king of a rock and he lives on the rock. So it might help for poor people like me and hitch hikers.
