Title: MSVCP.dll is missing

I had problems updating to 0.5.7   So I downloaded new version, and reinstalled.  Now it will not even start up the game.  It tells me that MSVCP100.dll is missing from computer.  Any ideas?  ???
ran "repair"  - all files passed

are you sure you've used the installer? you need msvc10 sp1 redist from microsoft to have that file usually

Weltall oh keeper of all wisdom.. how exactly does one 'use' the installer- do you mean the bar on the sign in screen that says 'repairs'? And how do you get the msvc10 sp1 redist from microsoft  if you're getting that same MSVCP100 message?

i did that as well tried to update the old one.got the same message .best to just down lode the new installer http://www.planeshift.it/download.html.just copy it over the old one and click yes to renew and over write the old stuff.

This caught me by surprise as well, fortunately really simple fix. You need to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable for your OS and install.

 :thumbup: Thank you all for the helpful comments.  Tried a few things that didnt work.  Ended up working with the top install option from weltall.  Thanks again.

Thanks Weltall, updated with the SP1 Redistributable you linked. Works like a charm.
