Title: With regards to quest rewards
Post by: Denerynn on July 16, 2011, 01:41:24 am
I encountered a problem, and was hoping someone may have an answer. I don't know if this is a bug or not.

A few minutes ago, I was in the process of doing the "Without a Way" quest, given by Levrus.

*minor spoilers*

At the end, I was supposed to choose one of four wands or an amulet, to indicate my choice of Way to specialize in. The problem is that I hadn't realized that, after telling me to think on it, speaking to Levrus would automatically open the quest reward window (which is new to me, given that it has been years since I last played this game). I didn't make a choice (not that I remember), and instead closed the window via the "X" at the top. Now, however, it seems that I HAVE made a choice, yet I don't see anything new in my inventory. Thus, not only did I not get to choose the Way that I would have liked (or so I think), I also have no clue where my reward is, nor which Way I ended up choosing.

Is this a bug? Is there any way of undoing my choice? If the answer to the latter is no, then I suppose I'll have to make a new character. It wouldn't be much of a loss, given that this character isn't even a day old.

Re-read the NPC dialog next time ;) I think it does clearly say "Choose a wand" or something similar.

PS: The quest is repeatable.

Dont worry, this quest is repeatable. It resets like once a day (or ingame day).
Its quite common that players chose to advance in more then one way so the choice you do in this quest wont hinder you in any way later.
