I am leaving PS, Job is changing .... and getting a second job. Will not have much time for anythings then. To those I got to RP with .... thanks. It was a lot of fun. And to the few that I dueled with .... thanks for taking it easy on me ;)
Will miss you all .... made quite a few friends, even though I dont know your real names or what you look like :P
Hopefully will get to return in the future .... Farewell and Goodluck to you all. :'(

Good luck on your journey! I'm sure it won't hurt to log on for a bit when you have the time. I don't remember signing a clause that says in order to play you must play for 24/7. There'll be a Dead Man's Soul waiting for you at the Den.

I think I played with you twice, but there was one awesome crazy late night gossip conversation, about the economy and jobs and then like stars and black holes and fighting about what frequency is (lol, I loved it)...anyway, good luck with your second job, I hope it is interesting, and serious good luck to you...this is Karenina speaking, by the way...ciao ciao..

But seriously, had some good, fun, and emotional RPs with poor, troubled Karlyle who was greatly responsible for saving Dannae's sanity during the threat letters RP.
I know you'll be back... some day... I just know it! He can't just leave Jilata after all the time it took to gain her confidence,.... can he?

Well, looks like I'll get locked in the Den, but I'll have a Dead Man's Soul to drink. Long as I'm not left alone .... shouldn't be too bad :P
I will miss the good RP's that I had with many of you.
And NO, I am not going to delete. Never know when I might get a chance to drop in.

As you sit upon your white balcony in heaven, enjoying a cool glass of lemonade and perhaps some roasted nuts with a coat of crispy deliciousness I would just like to say this: thank you for the great roleplaying Karlyle. As I have read from the many posts above, you were well loved and respected in this community, a shining example of roleplaying done well. We can only hope that one day a new player (even though it is unlikely that anyone can come even close to your brilliance) will take up the torch and continue spreading the love and glory that you passed on so well. I, at least, will forever keep you in my heart and think of you until my dying day as I have done so before with those people that played this ever so important game that united men and women in a bond of fellowship and friendship.

Seems it is much easier to say you will not be able to play much VS. actually not being able to play much.
I find myself still trying to grab every available minute I can to rejoin PS, though .... it is usually at a time when
very few if any of the Empire loyalists are around, including many that I enjoyed some good RPing with :(

Im sorry dadour13 ... I saw the posting on the billboard in Hydlaa as well. From the way I understand it, your friend didnt make it.
I met him once in game, he seemed to be very nice. He gave me a full set of armor and some background books about Yliakum.

Aiwendil: I was pointed to a OOC book in game today. Sorry, I have no background information on this and don't know who made that book. But as some of you knew him I think I should repost the text here:
To those that may have known Karlyle, he was in an accident in RL and did not make it. I dont know who his friends are in here, except for someone who goes by the name Jilata. He also recently joined Ordo something. IF you know either of these, please let them know ... thanks.
I know he had recently started to get back into playing PS, so I thought I would leave a message here, as I was unable to answer some questions to get on the forum.
Jilata: It actually seems to be true. Karlyle and I wrote in a google docs document together and only we both had a link to it. I got there a similar notice. He got into a car accident when some car crossed from the opposite side.

I remember RPing with Karlyle, as Ilaro the tailor at first, and as Mishka being her immadiate officer when he was a guard at the Den. He was actually good, maybe not the best (if I have to be honest). My condolences to his family, and may he rest well now.

This is so sad. He was in the DE for a while and was an absolute pleasure to play with the guy. OOC was a cool and genuine guy. Just helped make everything fun again.

I want Apologize, In the old sense of the word (Defend a point)... /me is a smartkromi.
Not that I would have remebered the name, I would have only copy pasted it and forget, So I find no point in saying the exact name, Also, For the sake of lazyness.

My condolences to his family and friends. We didn't talk to another often, but each time we talked, I enjoyed it. I'm happy that I met him.

Ugh... I'm very sorry to hear this. Karlyle was an awesome person and a valuable asset to the community. It was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to converse and write with him. My condolences to his family, friends, and those who were close.

So it seems unfortunately the sad news is true and Karlyle's player is no longer living. I'm extremely saddened.
I often had very good and enjoyable times and been entangled in several long running RPs with Karlyle and had taken him on to help with things in the den in a major way. Soon afterward, he stopped playing much as he decided to join the PS dev team. Very recently he'd come back to play his Karlyle char. and we chatted briefly in game and had exchanged a few PMs.
I will miss him much. Other friends and family of his have my deepest condolences should they see this. RIP

I had a great time RPing IC and chatting OOC with Karlyle both as players and both of us as GMs. Lots of good memories. I had been hoping the note in game wasn't accurate but it seems it was. Like Dannae said we chatted during his brief return, and seeing him about recently I'd hoped he would make a strong return which i was looking forward too. He was the kind of guy that will be missed by all, and certainly by me.

Oh my goodness now I feel like an absolute noob, I just read the start post and thought all the comments were just 'see you later, RL matters more', not noticing the date either.
This is very sad, Karlyle will definitely be missed by the whole community and myself! He was in the Dark Empire with me before he left, he showed me the way to the black flame temple and helped me out with creating and RPing a villain character a few times. He was a definite asset to the Planeshift community! My condolences go out to his family and friends.

Karlyle was both good RP and a lot of fun. He will be missed. Would there be support to make him the first person honored on a memorial wall of significant former characters? I was thinking a segment of the tunnel wall leading to the Hydlaa arena could have books eulogizing the departed, preferably locked by a GM.

If someone was tasked with maintaining the memorial, approving the books to be included, and rotating them if the number was too high would that help? I certainly don't want to make crossing the tunnel an exercise in lag. Perhaps a registry of names in a single book for most, separate books for truly outstanding characters and the recently departed?
