I just downloaded the game and I have version 0.5.7. The main problem is that when I open the game and try to login, I can't backspace the "your@email.here" in the account part (the backspace literally doesn't work when I press it, and I can't type any numbers in the login as well. The same two problems also occur for the password part too. I have Mac OS X Version 10.6.7 Leopard if that means anything also. Anyhow, thanks in advance for help.

when you click the youremailhere thing it should just disapear.
-
I would run Disk Utility /Repair Disk permissions. then update the game as we are 0.5.7.1
-
Yeah, the thing doesn't disappear and what do you mean by running the disk utility repair?
-
If you have a Mac, you possibly also have the "Disk Utility". And this tool has a "Repair Disk Permissions" feature.
At least so I read this suggestion. I don't have any Mac.
-
You will find it in Applications /Utilities.

I did that and well, nothing really seemed to happen or change after I reinstalled (not redownloaded) the game. When I downloaded the installer, I downloaded it with the direct download rather than the torrent. Should I try the torrent instead?
-
Both work, but the odd time something does go wrong, so if you can try the torrent.
-
I'll give the torrent a go and then tell you if it works.

Shouldn't make a difference if the DMG manager checks for valid checksums before accessing files. Not being able to set a cursor into an edit field by clicking on it with the mouse is not related to a corrupt install package, certainly: If the DMG was damaged, the client would probably not execute correctly at all.
I hope you installed PlaneShift by moving it out of the DMG into the "Applications" folder?
-
Well, I just dragged it onto my desktop folder, which is what I do with every other game I download that I'm trying out (once I know it works or I know that I like it, I then put it in Applications). Should it make a difference if it isn't in the application folder? I'll give that a shot in the meantime.

Sorry for double reply. I just tried putting the game in the Applications folder and that didn't work. I've installed the game like three times and so it's possible that there is something of an issue with that , although I have deleted all the other copies of the game that I had installed earlier.
