Title: Hydlaa's Museum
Post by: Mouli on August 11, 2011, 04:44:03 pm
Let me first introduce myself:
I'm Mesrin, curator of the Hydlaa's museum,

We (the Hydlaa's Museum workers) are proud to announce that the Project we are working on for months,
The Hydlaa's Museum  is now close to be opened
We bought an house in East Hydlaa and made a lot of work inside in order to make it as new as possible.
this step is now finished and we are now collecting the rarest weapons, Shield & Armor parts that we can find in Yliakum
in order to show them to museum's visitors.

The museum can buy some of the rarest weapons you would want to sell, We will also accept donation from you

But in case you got some very rare pieces you do not want to sell/give away... we can just show them in our museum and you will stay the owner
in that case your name will be written in the weapon description as Owner or Donor

for any info or purpose just send a goffrel to Mesrin

Nice idea, got any use for an economic artifact issued by a now defunct and discredited trading company? I have a 2% share certificate of the Tyndale Trading Company that is just rotting away in storage. It might have some historical interest.

Sounds great!  \\o//

I've got some ancient swords (vintage Crystal Blue- just after the wipe) that I'm not sure are still being dropped by NPCs (if they are still being dropped, then they must be only from the Dlayos). I might be convinced to let some of them be on loan or sold to the museum.

That would be great, get in contact with a member in game or ill try and contact you to meet up.

for weapons and armor are you only looking for named loot items? or will you be willing to accept items that have RP history attached to them, such as "The Dagger used to Assassinate Lord Soandso during the Great Siege of Suchandsuch"?

This would be great, if you also added a book to it so it could be displayed with the item to inform others about it.

That would be great Talad but i dont think we have a big enough collection yet.

You can have two events, one for gathering items, and now for official opening. If you want to do that, post here the dates, the pics and the text for the events.

by  giving: lending some of their rare items.
we also started a raising found campaign in order to buy some of the most expensive treasures and here also a lot of people are giving lot of circles

Thank to all of you that trusted us already without knowing us so much...

East Hydlaa, down the slope on the right as you enter E Hydlaa from Hydlaa Plaza.

Please be aware that there are already several occupied buildings - like the Guild Houses of House Purrty, Dark Empire, Wayward Kingdom, and ... Elemental Light, I believe. And the Tower of Knowledge.

So I wonder which building it is exactly.
__

P.S.: I don't understand why anyone still uses ImageShack ... it is fouled up with ads, it even loads more ads when trying to zoom into an image, which it does not even zoom at all. How many more times do we need to suggest more convenient and a lot less annoying alternatives?

Its the one that is not occupied by the names you said :) plus there is a sign out side saying "Museum of Hydlaa" now. [ By the miner, Fholen Medraa ]

the alternatives have other nuiseance. citing some: needing to write a captcha, having your pics published publically, resizing them, reduced size of the picture, missing the support for some formats, flash loaders... instead why people don't post the direct link to pictures?

not everyone has their own server to host files to directly link to, seems pretty obvious to me.

imageshack gives you direct links

As does photobucket.

The only problem frupic has is that your images are public. But other than that, it's great.

BTW…  :offtopic:This was about a museum, not how evil Imageshack is.

A museum sounds like a very good, highly original idea.
Good luck to the curators!

My suggestions for an alternative:

a) http://frupic.frubar.net -- No ads, no registration, just plain hosting. German description - but in general quite self-explanatory.

b) http://psps.psde.de -- No ads either, and some convenience features on top; organized in several galleries. Registration is suggested.

Good to see some of the things my little dwarf couldnt for some reason on the magic wall. Also glad to see the public getting a glimpse of our hard work thinking of how to set it up and then actually arranging it in a nice way.

The only things I have that might even be remotely rare are silver falchions and plain mugs that are equipable items, but not drinkable (like beer mugs, etc). I don't know if you're interested in either, but I'd be happy to donate them.
