On the website there\'s no thingy for magic yet, here just 1 idea I\'d like to present:
Magic System Idea:
Crystal Way - Holy Magic, Healing, Counter-Indirective
Azure Way - Ice Magic, Wind Magic, Indirect- Protective
Blue Way - Water Magic, Counter-Spells
Red Way - Fire Magic, Summon-Spells
Brown Way - Earth Magic, Neutralized-Spells
Dark Way - Dark Magic, Indirect- Offensive
Counter-Indirective: Magic that can counter specifically an indirect spell
Indirect-Protective means: You can put up protective barriers to protect you harm from physical or magical attacks with the exception of indirect spells
Counter-Spells: Magic that is used to defend yourself from another spell
Summon-Spells: Call a mythical Creature to fight
Neutralized-Spells: Is like spells that have no specific class type, with no elemental type; its like non-elemental magic.
Indirect- Offensive: Is magic that instead of doing damage, it\'ll cause something to their status, like blind, silence, slow, stop, break, haste, something like that.

you know thats exactly what i was thinking exactly .....
sounds really good to me

A magic system was proposed some time ago. It should be done, not something predefined. I think you should think about that system, and post your ideas about it.
I\'ll bring it up.

if you click on the ways during your character creation, there\'s stuff like that listed already, though brown is summoning magic on that one and red is fire/booster types which I prefer the sound of ^^
*looks skywards thoughtfully for a second*
actually, I\'d rather \'red\' was just blatant fire and damage type magic :P
-
hmm okay lemme check, I might\'ve missed that..
-
hmm okay nevermind there was a system put up, nevermind... I didn\'t see that, but there\'s just an idea if you need to add extra spells. Even I\'m off by a bit from the summons and nature. Well sorry......

That sounds a lot like a MAGIC system we already know. Some things switched around a bit, but mostly the same.
Ill try to come up with a magic system that emcompasses the many great ideas floating around the board. Ill post it when I am done to see how many people like the idea.
Thanks!

yup ...and i think it\'s quite similar to the one kuiper suggested
DEVS, PLEASE DO POST THE MAGIC AND SKILL SYSTEM TO THE WEBPAGE

90% the same as it is now, nothing new.

Can someone post a link so everyone can see?

there\'s no page of it yet, but you can read all about it if you start (custom) character creation and right-click (i think) on the different magic schools

I was hoping that info made it to a page. Well, if anyone sees a page with that info, link it up here so everyone can take a peek.
Thanks!

This is one area I am hesitant to have posted at all on the web. Though it will be. The thing is I feel much of this will change as we progress into a game, at a certain point we will say?this is it no more changes other then spells, but until then it will have to be fluid.
I can guarantee you one thing though, if it ends up anything like the melee system you are all in for a treat and frustration if you over think it. Min Maxxing will be very difficult in the melee system.
I hope the magic system will be the same and at the same time magical (unpredictable) but that is just my hope.

paxx, could we be led possibly to believe that magic could possibly have random effects like the Wild Mages in AD&D? If something similar like that was either optional or standard, that would mages very hard to resist.
