Title: Can't pick character race

I downloaded the game using the 32-bit USA mirror download on the planeshift website. Everything was going smoothly until I got to the character name and race. The window showing the character would have the bottom third part covered in the green pixels of the outside background, and when I try to click on any of the races, an error message would pop up and the game would close. On these forums, I found that having a bad graphics card could be the problem.

Here's my card info:
graphics card: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
Version #: 6.14.0010.4926

My computer is a Windows xp with a processing speed of 3.00 GHz, 1 GB RAM and 80 GB of hard disk space. I don't really have a lot of technical experience, so help with fixing this problem would be more than helpful.

intel GMA 945 is far below requirements. Their OpenGL driver is simply crap. And even the chipset does not completely support OpenGL 2.0 specs.
