With the insturments we have at present, a musician should be able to walk around while playing, or even sit (and stay seated). And for our safety, being able to turn around.... That would be fun!!

I've noticed this issue as well.
At the conclusion of a song, the musician is forced to stand up, even if he or she was seated whilest playing... It's a bit inconvenient if the musician is simply trying to play around in a small group; in a large performance, I suppose it wouldn't be too much of an issue, seeing as they're already standing.

As much as I agree to this, I still think that there should be chair animations first :sweatdrop:

This issue is probably not to be solved with the currently used technology.
A character can have different mutually exclusive states. It can only either stand or walk or sit or trade or craft ... so it cannot walk and play music at the same time, as it cannot sit and craft at the same time.
weltall will probably reprove me...

Thanks, LigH, for the excellent answer! I understand what you said.
And thanks to the others....

This is a limatation with the engine. You could walk about as you play, but the music can't follow you. As the point you are at when you click play is where the music emits from, and it isn't currently possible to have it move. So to get round having random music playing but the player moving off the player is forced to sit when they start and stand when they stop. But play+move will happen..... Eventually.

Nothing like good old eventuallyâ„¢.... :whistling:

Well speaking from a bard experience, I think a good step would be at least to spin in place. Theres been plenty of time when I have had characters approach mine from the side when i was playing a long song. So being able to turn left and right, might help matters some. I understand about the movement and the sound bit. But is simply turning out of reach at this point?
