I know some guild houses have "extra" doors inside them, usually up in the wings. I wondered how possible it would be for extra rooms to be purchased, as if built onto for a price. These rooms could also be "keyed" so that only certain members could enter ... or even left unlocked.

This would be a very nice feature - it makes sense, and there are a ton of possibilities for roleplay - council meetings, interrogations, maybe the rooms could even be made into kitchens or other such crafting areas.

As nice an idea as that is, that would require a lot of mechanics or at least new art work. I would vote for more "open plan" guild house where you basically get four walls and you partition everything yourself. This would require new artwork but not as much as the current guild houses and would be way more flexible than say the guildlaw guildhouse.

Illysia's idea would be much more feasible from my understanding of how guildhouses work. They are each their own instance and take up a sizeable amount of server space, which is why their numbers are limited in the first place. If the devs can get around such limiting factors, then this would be more feasible.
It's not like the trillions of tria spent on a guildhouse go towards paying for more server capacity.

I'm not sure if any of you have taken a look at the guildoja map, but it seems to address some of these concerns. As a whole, I don't particularly like the Oja map, but I do like the fact that it has several small "partitions" of sorts, in which to have differently purposed rooms.
