Title: Character Creation is Crashing?
Post by: Psychobovine on January 14, 2012, 08:48:14 pm
For some reason, I can keep the character creation screen up for about 3 or so minutes. I'll be in the middle of character creation, but without warning, rhyme, or reason, the program crashes. My drivers are all up to date, and I'm running a Windows 7 64-bit Toshiba Satellite. At one point, I barely made it through selecting my character avatar, and the last time it crashed, I was choosing my history.

It's been almost a week with no reply. I'd really love to try the game D:

You might want to get some console output to see what's happening.

I have the bad feeling that your laptop uses an intel graphics chip. If that is the case there might be nothing you can do, I understand that that they are very problematic with this game. You might search the forum for other posts regarding that chipset. I am not positive anyone has been able to get it to work.

Then again there were a wide variety of those satellite models and some of them actually had real 3d gpus, or so it seemed.
