Title: Black Launcher!
Post by: player931402 on February 01, 2012, 09:16:36 pm
When I launch the game I get an empty black screen but with the Planeshift cursor shows up.
I have Opengl 2.1 version and lastest driver for my NVIDIA geforce 310M
P.s.: If i launch the game in modiality 256 color i can "see" 0.0

can anyone help me?

Welcome...

Sounds like the Mobility chipset does not support a specific OpenGL extension well (possibly a "Rectangle" extension), but the CrystalSpace configuration does not yet know about it and doesn't catch this chipset in its filter rules.

Please be patient, I hope that someone with more in-depth experience with CrystalSpace can help you here.

P.S.:

Is it on Linux? Then quote a 'glxinfo' dump. Open Source drivers don't support the same feature set as proprietary drivers.

Details, details, details... "win" could be 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 beta (32 or 64 bit). "Latest" is no version number; "285.62 WHQL" is one.

And I am really not sure what you mean with "modiality". But setting your desktop to a color depth of 256 sounds strange to me.

The Nvidia Control panel should have an option to set the prefered gfx adapter for an application. Create entries for pslaunch.exe and psclient.exe and set them to use the the nvidia card.

as you have 2 different graphics cards, like i do now in my new pc i installed lucidlogics virtu, there you can set what runs on what card but the program came with my motherboard dvd, at first i had set my intel card to be the first card but it was a hassle to set games always to the nvidia card so i went into bios and set it the other way.
sure the power drain is higher with the nvidia enabled all the time but it's less hassle.
