Title: Odd Crafting Rewards.

Why do some crafting activities seem to give extra experience awards? For example converting scoop of lard to hot cooking oil gives an experience award message followed by a practice message and then another experience award message usually including a progression point increment. I can see this happening when there are two skills being practiced such as in baking apples which gives experience, cooking practice, more experience and baking practice but in the former example there appears to only be one skill involved.

Is it just a case of redundant messages and no extra experience is actually being awarded? I am not certain that this is limited to just cooking as I have a vague recollection of seeing it in other activities.

Have I even asked this before? I cannot remember.

Looks like it is redundant reporting. when there is no practice involved there is only one message.

when you skill two skills you get points from one and from the other. this is because the points you gain are enough to buy the next level of the respective skill.

I understand that, weltall, but from my understanding turning a scoop of lard just gives cooking practice and nothing else but I was still getting two experience award messages for it. One message came before the practice message and the other came after it.

Without numbers present I cannot tell if the two messages are the same award or not. Is it possible that the action gives an experience award and then the training also gives an experience award because as I said you only get the second message when the skill being used is eligible to give practice.

OK I got 6 experience messages and only 4 cooking practice.
I'll have to try to be more thorough in my testing maybe it is just some kind of lag effect or maybe I am just misinterpreting what I am seeing. Certainly this log snippet does not show anything definitive.
