Title: Crashing on exit
Post by: Sserp Detaicossa on March 17, 2012, 03:44:09 pm
Here's strange problem:

When I click the little gravestone icon to exit the game, the game does in fact close like it's supposed to, but then I get an error message from Windows saying that PSclient stopped working. It then restarts the PSlaunch program again, forcing me to click quit to finally get it to stop. Any ideas on how to get it to stay closed the first time I log off?

Thanks,

Sserp

pslaunch is supposed to come up when you log out. I fact it does not "restart" when you log out, it just becomes "unhidden". To give you the change to login on another account, I guess.
That psclient crashed upon exit is normal.  :beta:

Edit: Whoops. Well, I guess that tells you something about how my clients usually quits, then.  :P

^ not exactly: pslaunch re-appears only if psclient doesn't quit without error. So you can quickly restart it after a crash. Unfortunately, psclient often crashes even after quitting it. Usual reasons are probably "memory leaks" somewhere in the used CrystalSpace engine. But it is rarely possible that psclient quits "gracefully", in this case pslaunch does not appear again.
