Title: How to change text
Post by: Lexx on May 30, 2012, 08:03:26 pm
Sorry if this is already been asked and resolved...
My quest window has a very large cursor, and the text within is spaced very widely, even though the text is quite small, comparatively. I can't find out how to change the font, or spacing. Also, the options menu  text are overlapping, and difficult to read. Is there a way to reset/alter/fix the font, for dialogs/windows please? Thanks.

Was looking for that too, and I found it:
- go to the data\gui subdirectory of your planeshift install
- in there you will find xml files with the layout of the various interface parts
- font-sizes are mostly in styles.xml
- you'll need to adapt the other xml's to cope with the increased font-sizes (as the layouts don't auto-adapt to different sizes, in css terms they're sized in px instead of em)

-> it's possible, but it is a a lot of work

right mouse click on any window in the client and set or unset 'scale fonts'

Yeah, that's much easier. Also, you may want to try different skins, not all of them have the same layout settings.
