Hey, guys. I'm downloading the game as I type this, and I was just curious as to the amount of active players currently. I wanna get into this game, it seems like it'd be great. But, that being said, I don't want to waste any time if there's absolutely no one around to play the game with. Ya dig?

Player numbers recently hit an all time low, but seem to be climbing a bit as Summer drags its hefty sweaty feet along. On average, the times I've logged in the past few weeks I've seen 50-75 players. A few months before that it hovered around 30. A year ago it was around 100.

A good portion of those players are being consumed by all the new crafting recently implemented, but you still might find one or two people actually interacting with each other. Stay hopeful and don't be discouraged by those running over the patrons in the tavern on their mounts to get to the rooftop.

Putting a crafting station on the roof of the tavern is a settings team blunder anyways.

Hope to see if ingame. If you are hungry for RP, PM me here or /tell me online. If all you want to do is grind, I don't understand the point of playing a multiplayer online ROLE PLAYING game.

Welcome, too.

To have better chances to meet other players, prefer weekends and american-convenient daytimes (e.g. evenings/nights in Europe), and check the Event calendar (http://www.planeshift.it/events.php).

Also, in an introductory forum post like this, it can be helpful to share your character name (unless your character name is already "TheGodMachine"), so that those of us who spot you in-game can make a point of approaching you to say hi. ;)
