As we already know since May, Night Mushrooms around the Magic Shop spawn up in the air.
A few mushrooms used to spawn in the forest too. There are 3 hotspots. But there is a randomizer too. On one hand, the spawn is randomized among the three hotspots. On the other hand, the spawn is randomized in a radius around each hotspot.
And there is an invisible wall too, near one of the hotspots.
Unfortunately, it happened too often now that mushrooms spawned outside of the invisible wall, too far outside to be picked up. They are lost now (until a GM picks them up, temporarily, to get lost again, until this problem gets fixed).

So basically, there's a chance for the mushrooms to spawn in unreachable locations?... And the longer they are harvested, the faster they will all be unreachable...?
You'd think they wouldn't let this bug get into release.
-
well you could always just /harvest them

"Release"?
You are funny, Zoomzoom. You probably did not yet read the history of PlaneShift in the PSWiki... ;D
Forget expressions like "alpha" or "beta"; they sound like PlaneShift would become commercial if it is ever "final". PlaneShift is promised to be always free and Open Source (regarding the base engine); it is now called a "game in development", and I doubt it will ever be "finished". Somehow the playing of a game in development and joining the development by playing it is the unique about PlaneShift.
-
I meant the Alpha Release. Not final release...
-
Doesn't really matter. It is already released, somehow. Everyone can come and play. The version number does not exactly mean a percentage of finalization.
The first 3D engine implementation, Atomic Blue (http://planeshift.ezpcusa.com/pswiki/index.php?title=Atomic_Blue), was released a decade ago (May 2002); we still have not even a quarter of the upmost level (the Dome) modelled. So imagine how long "the game" will keep developing. The engine, though, might become somewhat "final"...

I am aware of this, I first played Planeshift back in 2006.
Now good luck with your issue.

You can use a mount to jump over the wall by Amidison, to get down to the grass, normally out of bounds, You may even be able to do it without a mount, as the barrels are gone.
From there you can get to the mushrooms from the opposite side of the force field.
Temporarry bug fix :D

You can do it without a mount, just walk carefully.
