I played Planeshift a while ago, but I had to quite due to certain issues. Remembering the name of the game, and thinking that it might have been brought up to a different state, I would like to try the game again.
I am wondering if the people still play the game, or is it completely dead? Is it alive only at certain times?
-
Wibble. ( That's PS parlance for welcome back... go figure. )
Anyhow... yes, people still play but at different times. You are most likely to see people in either Hydlaa or Ojaveda.
-
Hello There. It is still "alive" but nothing like most commerical MMOs nowadays. People do still play though. If you ever want to know how many people are online or who is online you can use this link. http://planeshift.subhosting.net/index.php?page=char_stats
Typically, the game is most active during European Evening.
-
Thank you for the welcome. And I am glad I am back, I just have no idea of where to start off at.... Oh well. Still like it was when I first started to play it.
Also, thank you for the link to the "Online now".
-
You're welcome. Have fun. I would suggest starting with questing and looking for a profession to get into.

You delinquent you. :P
-
Hmmm... Pillage or quest?
Which one would be more fun, and rewarding...
Hmmm... Tough choice.
-
Heh heh ...
Although the physical game itself does not provide a means to rob or pillage, this sort of thing can easily be done via role play. Role play takes a little more thought and a few other players who role play too, but can be terribly satisfying.

The roleplay portion fo the game is what drew me in the first time. Too bad my computer would crash with the game.

...and to answer your question: Go be a productive and law abiding citizen. ;)

...and to answer your question: Go be a productive and law abiding citizen. ;)
But abiding by the law is never fun.
-
That's because you aren't doing it right. :P
-
Maybe, but being evil is more fun. Hehehehehe

Don't listen to this hooligan. :D There are lots of things to do as a law abiding citizen. One thing is to not get hunted down like a wild animal. ;)

lol !
On the contrary, as a baddie you get to do things like burn Laanx priests, spread plagues, sell poisoned pies in the plaza, and lure Ulbernauts into the Stonehead Tavern. o.O
-
Which tavern did you say? >.>
But see as a good character you can actually show your face in the light of day and someone might actually care if the evil things down in the sewer get a hold of you. However, if you do like Night Rogue, then you might find yourself being fed to the Ulbernauts. :D Especially if they are found in the Stonehead Tavern. >.>
-
But hiding in the shadows, and striking when least expected is always satisfying.

This.
This is golden.

*gets out her Wooden Spoon of DOOM(tm) and waves it menacingly*
I'll stop you hooligans yet. Just you wait. :P

Oh no!!!!!! The wooden Spoon of Doom!
Run!!!!!
-
I hear that spoon's left marks and stripes upon many asses. ;)
I just knew there was a bad girl in Illy... just waiting for an excuse to come out!
Rawr...
-
*Holds the Spoon of DOOM(tm) ready to Smite*
You don't keep law and order without busting a few rear ends. :innocent:
And while we are on that topic.... Language mister. >.> Don't make me get out the Platinum Spoon of DOOM(tm).
*Points the Wooden Spoon of DOOM(tm) in Rigwyn's Direction with intent to strike.*
Or worse, I'll tell Lilu and then you'll really need to quake in fear. :P
You all might want to follow Varnis54's example. ;)
-
I am soooo trying not to feed into this with a non-pg13 response. :-X
-
*Strikes a random object near Rigwyn and pulverizes it with the Wooden Spoon of DOOM(tm) then looks at Rigwyn*
>.>
-
/me waggles his eye brows at Illysia.
-
You tempt fate Rigwyn... You tempt fate. >.>
But where did our beloved returning kinda newbie go?
-
*Pops out from Illysia's back.*
I'm right here.
-
*looks over her shoulder*
Ok, you stay out of trouble back there.
*turns back to keep her eye on Rigwyn.*
-
The really really bad guys kidnap forum threads ... ;D
-
Really now? I would expect you to accuse the really bad guys of using bad grammar LigH. :P
-
Grammar is optional these days ... you know: There was the "Generation Golf" (Volkswagen), then came the "Generation .com", and how we have the "Generation Who-Cares". :-\
No, kidding, I am happy to see that there are players who enjoy learning better english by playing PlaneShift. Even french people who are "notorious" for a lack of interest in foreign languages... ::)
-
Happy because you can take a break from spell checking everyone's posts? ;D
-
/me throws a pie towards Illysia, after removing the strawberries and sending them to Zorbels instead.
-
*Gets hit with the pie*
X-/ Someone get me a Trout! A big smelly one!
-
*coughs*
-

X-/ Someone get me a Trout! A big smelly one!
/me throws a trout at Illysia "It was fished just two weeks ago!" :P
-
Thank you Eonwind.
*Swings the trout at LigH*
:P
-
How can you tolerate that, Varnis54?
/me gets hit and falls out of this thread
-
Because Varnis54 is behind my back and not in my path LigH. ...not in my path. >.>
-
*Points to his nose that has a clothes pin on it.*
And I have an anti smell pin on my nose!
